We
quickly unpack and head out for some pool/beach time. We grabbed a
quick lunch by the pool and then headed down onto the beach. We JUST
got in the water when we were called back out again. Seems that they
have had some sharks sited in the area, and they had just seen a fin
a few times of what looked to be about a four foot spinner shark.
Actually, more than one! :-O YIKES!! We played on the beach and in
the VERY shallow water until they cleared out of the area. Still
makes you a bit nervous, but knowing that everyone is watching
helps. We still stayed very close to shore when we went in the
ocean.
We had a 7pm dinner reservation at Shutters, and played until it was
time to get ready for that. The restaurant wasn’t too busy when we
arrived and we got a nice seat right out on the front porch
(enclosed with A/C) area. Dinner was OK, but nothing overly special.
I tried the Shrimp bisque, but it did not have much taste – but did
have several nice pieces of shrimp in it. And steak was a bit
overdone as was Kristen’s burger. The kids had chicken tenders
(good) and Mickey Mac & /Cheese, which Brinn couldn’t eat.
The
waitress put in for a second order of chicken tenders, but they
never came out until we were all done already. She was very nice and
took Brinn’s meal off the bill. The girls got a little ice cream
sundae they enjoyed and we were off. We decided on an early bedtime
tonight. Everyone was still tired from the long night before and
ready for a good nights sleep. Tomorrow – its more beach time and we
hope to sign up for the unbirthday party as well. Then in the
evening is the High School Musical 2 premier pajama party. The girls
are very excited about that! |
