Yacht Club in the morningUp and at ‘em early for our day at MGM. Hopefully, we can do a few more attractions today than we did yesterday! ;-)

Its an early entry day, so off to catch the boat by 7:30am. The first one didn’t even stop at the Boardwalk – just YC/BC and Swan/Dolphin. We got there in plenty of time before opening, and they didn’t start letting us in until right around 8 o’clock. Maddy and I headed for Tower of Terror (ToT) and Kristen and Brinn headed to Rockin Roller Coaster (RnR) to get fastpasses. Brinn won’t ride ToT and Kristen doesn’t mind skipping that one in the least! ;-)

Friendship Boat on the way!Maddy and I pretty much walked right on and even got front row seats. It was a great ride with lots of trips up and down the elevator. We bounced for quite some time. But all too soon the ride was over and we left to meet back up with Brinn and Kristen. Since we could now come back for RnR anytime, we’ll save that for later. We headed across the park and got to the Great Movie Ride just before it opened at 8:30am. We were on the first car of the day – just made it in the back row. Fun as always, and as we excited Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy, Pluto, Chip, Dale and others I think were headed out for some picture and autograph sessions. It was fun seeing them all in their Year of a Million Dreams attire and after a few pictures we went on to Star Tours.

The Great Movie RideThe kids love this one and it was fun as always. Only about 10 minute wait so no problem. The family then dragged me out of the store kicking and screaming without a R2D2 robot! ;-) Just won’t let me get one! :-D

The Great Movie RideBy this time the fact that we had skipped breakfast was making everyone hungry. I ran off for Little Mermaid FastPasses while the girls went for breakfast. The ABC commissary serves breakfast so we went there. It was pretty good, but the CMs were a bit surly. Oh well – guess everyone has a bad day now and again.

Wizard of OzAfter eating we went off to watch the Little Mermaid. Great show as always, and afterward we even talked the girls into seeing Goliath (Is that his name?) – the lion from the Jojo – circus show. Since the girls are getting older, I’m not as familiar with these characters, but our goddaughters love them so a picture of the girls with him will go over big. :-)

THEN we waited for about 15 minutes for High School Musical Pep Rally. They have been WAITING for this one, and it was a must see! :-) Of course, the waiting spot we had was in full sun and way hot. But the girls enjoyed the show and even got to shoot some hoops and learn a dance. It was fun.

Trying on hats in MexicoAfter that we were getting pretty hot. We decided to go see the Cars Characters on the Streets of America and then head back after a bit of shopping. On the way we ran into Kim Possible and Ron Stopable and took the chance for a photo and autograph. Then we found Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater a bit farther on.

We had no desire to watch the shows today – so Belle, Indy and the Stunt Show were off the list. The muppets will have to wait for another day and after hitting several stores where the girls shopped and I cooled off it was off to the boat and home.

Character Pictures

Shadow FunTime for a nice nap which we all needed and then up around 4pm to get ready to head to Epcot. We have dinner at Le Cellier tonight and *I* can’t wait. I love this restaurant, but Kristen was thrilled the last time we ate there. Hope its better tonight!

We had plenty of time to look all around the UK and Canada and even hit several shops. We ran into Tigger and Eeyore in the UK – and even Mary Poppins was there as we were leaving. Alice was around as well, but we skipped her line since we had already seen her in the MK. In Canada we did some more shopping and then ran in to Brother Bears for another photo op. Lots of characters out today which made it fun for the girls.

What made those shadows?A bit more shopping and then we headed to Le Celliar to check in a little early. It was packed, but we still had a very short wait, and Barry was our waiter. SOOOO very polite and helpful. He made the entire meal even more pleasurable. And that is saying something because it was fantastic from start to finish.

Everyone except Madison got the Cheese soup to start with and it was just out of this world. LOVE IT! And the breadsticks – A BIG hit – especially the pretzel ones. Barry was able to get Maddy a small Caesar salad which made her happy and we all had milk shakes as well.

For our entree – Kristen and I had the fillet minion. SO very good, as were the mashed potatoes it came with. Brinn had the child’s steak which she really enjoyed and Madison some spaghetti. Very good. Finished off with the Crème Brule combo (maple and vanilla side by side). Kristen the chocolate cake and the girls had ice cream sundaes. All very good.

Stuffed and all happy we headed out. Not completely overstuffed, but very satisfied. A good thing! We continued around World Showcase and stopped in Mexico next. We looked around and bought a few things for the girls. Then we rode the updated boat ride here. It was OK, but I wouldn’t say better than it used to be really. Nothing great we would have to see each trip....

Building in Japan at nightNext we bypassed Norway since we’d be back the next day for breakfast, and also China. It was getting late and I went to get a spot for Illuminations while Kristen and the girls shopped in Germany. My spot was pretty good, and there was room for everyone when they arrived. It was a great show as always, but Maddy and Kristen had headed back a bit early. Maddy isn’t thrilled with fireworks, and wanted to hit a store before it closed. Brinn and I would meet them back in the room later.

After Illuminations was complete, Brinn and I started our walk back. We took our time and chatted a bit. Its always nice to have some one on one time with each child. They are so different when they don’t have a sibling to pick on. It was very pleasant stroll back to the resort.

We all got ready for bed as we have another early morning tomorrow. Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway at 8:30am. :-O But its a fairly early night, so they should be OK. And tomorrow afternoon is open, so it should be a nice leisurely evening as well.
