VWL DVC SignLate morning today so we can sleep in a bit.  I was still up early so sat out on the balcony to type up more trip report and enjoy the morning.   Woke the girls up around 9am so that we could get to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast by 10am.  We called down and had the rental car pulled around before leaving the room and it was there and waiting for us at the front entrance.   Since I still have my Disney Dining Experience card, you can get free valet parking when visiting a resort to eat.  Totem PoleSo that is what we did at the Grand Floridian.  We arrived just before our 10 am time and sat to wait a few minutes in the restaurant lobby.  Within a couple minutes Mary Poppins arrived and the girls got to say hi and get a picture.  Right after that our beeper went off to let us know our table was ready and in we went.  We saw Pooh, Tigger, Alice and Mad Hatter inside.  The food was wonderful as always and since we were on the Dining Plan we also each got Chocolate Milk (orange juice and coffee are automatically included with the meal).   All the characters stopped by or at least waved for a couple trips around the restaurant.  It was a fun and filling meal.

Pool time at the Wilderness LodgeAfter breakfast we headed back for some more pool time.  Its another hot and humid day, so swimming is always a popular choice with the girls.  We headed out to the main pool and found it relatively empty compared to Saturday and Sunday crowds.  We easily found chairs for our stuff and then headed to the pool.

Brinn and DadWe hit the Jacuzzi first (which was quite warm) and then into the pool (which seemed much cooler after the hot jacuzzi!).  Lots of fun and playing and a bit of picture taking.  The girls took a few trips on the slide and then by about 1:30 we decided it was time for a bit of a nap.  The girls were dragging after our late night the night before, and it just made sense since a storm was blowing in.

MinnieThunder was crashing a we returned to the Villas and soon it was raining pretty good.   We all quickly fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up a bit after 4pm.  It was STILL storming out but we got ready anyway, dug out our old Yellow Mickey ponchos and headed for the boat to the Magic Kingdom.   We waited just a bit before it showed up and soon we were at the Magic Kingdom.  We had about an hour to kill before dinner so we headed for The Haunted Mansion.

ChipThe wait was 30 minutes!  I was shocked and started to realize just how busy the MK was.  Even with a couple hours of storms the park was mighty busy.   We passed on The Haunted Mansion and headed over to Philharmagic instead.  Waited about 10 or 15 minutes and were in to see the show.   The girls really love this one as to both Kristen and myself.  Definitely our favoritte 3D Movie.

GoofyNow it was time to head to Liberty Tree Tavern for our dinner.  It was not too busy when we arrived and soon we were seated and our very efficient and friendly waitress did a great job of taking care of us.  (Thus the fact that she become the owner of another passed out CM Appreciation card at the end of our meal)  The food was wonderful.  Sorry to say I didn't even think of pictures until it was WAY too late.  We enjoyed salad with strawberry vinaigrette dressing and fresh roles.  Then came ham, turkey, stuffing, flank stake, green beens, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese.  Wow!  Eveyrthing was wonderful and the meal was completed with apple cobbler for dessert.  The characters were fun and friendly and included both Chip and Dale, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto.  The girls love both the food and atmosphere here and we all had a great time.

Thoroughly stuffed we headed back out into the park.  We were trying to do some of the things that we had missed the day before, so we headed to Toon Town.  WAY too crowded, so we went back and waited about 10 minutes for the teacups.  Kristen passed since we had just eaten dinner, but the girls and I had a great time.  I spun them REAL well!  :-D

Jedi Wanna-besThen it was off to Tomorrowland to ride the TTA, Carousel of Progress and Buzz.  Space Mountain had a 50 minute wait with no fastpasses available.  We decided to pass on this one and headed off to ride Stitch instead.  Since Stitch was a walkon I agreed and in we went.  The girls enjoyed it, and all was fine with the world.  I can live with it once in a while.

By now it was almost 10pm and time for Wishes Fireworks.  Since we had just seen them the night before we were going to pass, but we decided to grab a couple snacks near Fantasyland.   Brinn and I got lemonade and raspberry lemonade slushee's and Kristen and Maddy got sundaes at Mrs. Pots.   Brinn and I took our slushes into Fantasyland between dumbo and the carousel and REALLY enjoyed the show.  Many bursts were right over our heads, and the large bursts were on the other side of us.  We thought we were watching a tennis match with all the turning of the head to keep up.

After the fireworks we found Mom and Maddy off to the side.  They couldn't even finish the brownie sundaes they had ordered.  This meal plan has you eating even more than you would normally.    Kristen wasn't feeling her best so we headed out of the park and back to the room.  It was another fun filled day and time for some well earned shut eye.  Tomorrow is Typhoon Lagoon and should be a lot of fun!

Bye for now!
