Today
our long and wonderful trip will be coming to a close. The day
didn’t start off that great since they decided to turn on and off
the fire alarms all morning long! :-/ No announcement that it was
not real, but we tracked down a waiter delivering breakfast to a
room that said it was nothing and happens all the time. Nice.
We had decided to spend the morning at the pool and got down there
early enough that it was easy to get great lounges to relax on. We
played in the pool and on the slide for a couple hours and then I
went around to get lots of pictures of the pool. I FEEL another Pool
Slideshow coming on! ;-) Now, I just need the time to create it.

We headed back to the
room to get cleaned up and check out. We had most everything packed
and ready to go so we ended up with some extra time. Since we were
close to the Prime 1 outlets here (or was it Premium… The older one
near Universal with the Character Warehouse store…)
The girls (and I)
were HOOKED on the Disney outlets and wanted to see if anything new
had been brought in. I first gassed up the rental car and then we
found our way to the mall pretty easily this time. We hit the
Character Warehouse Store first and found a few more things to stuff
in our luggage! Then we hit Sabarro (sp?) Pizza for lunch and then
headed on to the airport.

We dropped off the
rental car with no trouble and unloaded it and headed into the
terminal. Of course, SouthWest is WAY at the other end so it was a
long haul. I was happy to note that Jet Blue was closer for my
December MouseFest trip! :-) The line was long, but moving pretty
quickly. We got our luggage tagged and then had to drag it over to
another area for its X-rays. I REALLY wish they did this check after
the luggage is taken at the check in desk. Trying to get across 5000
other passengers with your luggage is NOT easy or fun. I think a
remodel is in order to layout the terminal better for today’s new
world… |
