 Up and at 'em early
for MGM early entry this morning. The girls woke up surprisingly
well and soon we were down to the pier waiting (and WAITING) for the
boat. We figured they should start running 30 minutes before park
opening, but we didn't even see a Friendship boat until 20 of!
And that one bypassed us for the Swan/Dolphin! Grrrrr…. Finally,
ours came about 15 minute before 8. Needless to say, the park was
already open before we got there. NOT happy with that, but it
didn't really hurt too much. We were quickly in the park
and I headed down for ToT Fastpasses for Maddy and I. When I got
over to RnR it was down, but they were giving out Fast passes. I
got two for Kristen and Brinn and found Kristen and the girls waiting
in the RnR line as we had planned. Since it was down the line was
WAY back because they would not open the inside queue. We debated
staying, but then a CM said they were resetting the ride now and it
should start soon. About 5 or 10 minutes later we were let in and
very quickly on the ride.
 Both girls loved it this year, and with Brinn you never
know how it will go. Neither one is thrilled with the
initial takeoff, but I think they are getting more used to it. I
gave Kristen her two fastpasses in the store, and Maddy and I headed to
ToT for our ride. Maddy LOVES ToT and was  really looking forward to this one.
Kristen and Brinn would look around the store until their return time
and then ride RnR again. I was going to grab MORE RnR fastpasses
after our ToT ride.
 So off Maddy and I went. There was about a 40
minute wait on ToT in the Standby line, but the Fast Pass line was very
short. Soon we were in the ride and waiting for an
elevator. Maddy was not scared at all this year. She just
loved it had a huge smile on her face in the picture.  Even the ghosts didn't bother her like they
did last year. Back to grab some more RnR fastpasses and into the
RnR store to wait for Kristen and Brinn.
 Uh-oh - Kristen and
Brinn are in the store, and Mommy doesn't look happy. Seems that
while they waited in here someone came off the ride and got sick.
Brinn didn't see it happen, but did see the after affects and that is
all it took. She has a HUGE issue with people getting physically
sick and we could NOT get her back on the ride again! I sent
Kristen and Maddy off to ride while I talked to Brinn.  We talked it out, and worked through it,
and eventually she calmed a bit. Only time was going to help this
one, so after Kristen and a triumphant Madison returned we all headed
out to do some other things until our 11:30 return time.
We found Frozone over near Little Mermaid, but the Incredibles left
before we saw them. Then we hit One Man's Dream but skipped the
movie this time. And then back on to Mickey Ave to find Kim
Possible and Ron Stopable. Brinn had seen them on the time guide
and made SURE we didn't miss them! ;-)
 We crossed the street to see Mickey and the family in
front of us had the same Panasonic Lumix camera that we have.
They asked if I would take their family shot, and they returned the
favor. Worked out great!
After that we ran into Tigger outside Mickey's spot and then decided to
get some lunch. Well, it was only 11am, and the Backlot Express
opens at 11:30. Kristen and Maddy sat there while a leary but
willing Brinn returned with me to RnR coaster for our 11:05 return
time. Maddy was happy with the two times she had already ridden
and Kristen wanted a nice air conditioned break waiting for the
restaurant to open.
 So off went Brinn and I. She wasn't complaining,
but you could tell she was very nervous. Even the CM came over to
reassure her that it was ONLY 90 seconds long, and she would be
fine! I pointed out that the folks in front and behind us were
VERY excited about the ride, and would be FINE! And I PROMISED no
one would be sick. Thank goodness they were not, and she was
smiles again by the end of the ride. Poor kid. We
decided to make two people happy by giving away our second set of fast
passes. We found two girls that will 'Love us forever' that were
thrilled to take them off our hands. Brinn was all smiles
about that as well.
Anyway - back across the park for lunch and then that was it for this
morning. With the early entry and hot day it was time to take a
nap. Both kids were a bit cranky and mom and dad were tired
too. We'll pass on the pool and just take a nap instead. We
have to be back for a 4:10pm Mama Melrose reservation with the
Fantasmic package.

Back
to the boat and who is sitting directly across the aisle? The two
girls we gave the fast passes to! :-) Small world. They
thank us
again, and then its back to the resort for a much needed nap for
everyone. We wake up in time to get ready and head back to MGM
for
dinner. We are even a bit early, and take our time getting to the
restaurant with a bit of shopping on the way.
We HAVE to do Millionaire since it closes next month so
we head there
first. No problem getting in and the show is about 80%
full. I messed
up a question on the first round so no board for me. On the
second
round I do better and actually make the top 10! yea! That
is about
the best I can hope for! ;-) No cruise winners during our
game, but
it was still fun.
After that I talked the girls into the Backlot
Tour. Kristen REALLY
doesn't care for this one, and as hot as it was I don't think I blame
her! ;-) I could live with out the special effects
walk through, but
I do enjoy the tram ride past all the 'old stuff'. And James -

I didn't see your son there - but I did look! After the tram ride
was
all enjoyed seeing the Villains display of items at the end. Very
cool
stuff in there!
