Sunrise before arriving at Castaway CayCastaway Cay today!!!!  I was up and enjoying a sunrise out on the verandah and then later we all stood out there and watched as we pulled into Castaway Cay.  Or, I guess backed in is a more accurate description.  :-)  Since our cabin is on the Starboard side of the ship we had a magnificent view of the island all day long!  Such a beautiful place.  We just loved it.

Pulling in to Castaway CayWe started out with a wonderful room service breakfast as part of the Romance Escape at Sea package.  They provide a special menu, and you select all that you would like.  They brought more than plenty for the whole family (it took two waiters carrying two huge trays!) and was delicious.  I really enjoyed the eggs benedict!
Beach FunAfter finishing up breakfast we got ready to head out on the island.  We headed toward the family beach and dropped off the girls to dig at Monstro's Point with the Oceaneers Club.  They both wanted to do this, and it gave Kristen and I time to go snorkeling.   Disney has done a great job of setting up the snorkeling area, and added lots of fun items for guests to 'find'.  The best, of course, was the Mickey Statue out between markers A and B.  He is a must find!  ;-)  There are also plenty of fish to check out, and both Kristen and I enjoyed snorkeling there.

Beach FunWe headed back to grab the girls and then I headed back to the ship to hit the post office and grab our underwater camera from the cabin.  (oops - forgot it!)  No line at the post office, and sent off the postcards no problem.  Its a great place to send them from when cruising because of the special stamps and postmark!

The ship was pretty empty, so I was on and off again in no time.  Took this opportunity to snap lots of pictures of the island, and it really is a paradise.  Lucked out with the tram showing up right when I needed it, and quickly returned to the Family Beach.  The girls were enjoying the surf and sand.  Those sand toys certainly came in very handy and they enjoyed them all day long!   Kristen and I enjoyed the Swimways Floats we brought.  They really do work great, and are wonderful to just float around on.  We used them in St. Maartin and Castaway Cay and just floated the day away.

Kids Farewell ProgramTime for lunch, so we hit the barbecue.   Yum!  Everything was delicious and they even had some great cookies and ice cream for dessert!  And yes, the free soda dispensers are on the island as well.  I headed back a bit before the girls so that I could go back out snorkeling  to try for a few underwater photos.  We'll have to wait until I get he developed to see how they come out.  I've had good luck with underwater cameras in the past, so I have high hopes!  ;-)

Milan and Maria in Animators PaletteBack to the beach, and it was Kristen's turn to do some more snorkeling.  (after you rent the gear, you can use it all day long).  She took Brinn out with her, and Brinn did fine until she saw some larger fish.  THEN she freaked out, and started screaming each time she saw one (or several!)  I've gotta toughen this kid up!  :-)  LOL - Kristen ended up floating on her back all the way in with Brinn propped on her stomach!  Guess she didn't want to be in the water out there with the fishes!  ;-)

My lovely ladies on the deckTime was moving way too quickly, and it was soon time to head back to the ship.  We found Pluto and Captain Hook outside the ship and stopped for a few quick pictures.  Maddy isn't thrilled with Villains, so its tough to get her into those pictures!  On board, and off to get ready for dinner.  This is our last night, and we have a TON of packing to do yet!  And first we have to run back to the cabin, throw dry clothes on, and race the girls to the club so they can be a part of the kids show.  They each received t-shirts and went up on stage to help put on the show.  There were a TON of kids, and it was pretty cute.  Back to the kids club to check them out, turn in the beeper and say goodbye.  Brinn and Maddy also took several CM appreciation cards and passed them out to the instructors.  The instructors really seemed to like these, and the girls just love handing them out.

OK - Off to our final dinner at Animators Palette.  Milan and Maria were right there waiting for us, and it was another great meal.  After dinner we passed out tip envelopes.  I had stopped at the Guest Services desk the day before to 'pre-pay' tips.  They let you charge the amount you wish to tip, and then print out 'tickets' with your name, and your server/host/etcs name and amount so you can place that in the envelope for them.  Definitely do it a day or so early because my wait in line was about one other person, while the wait that Friday was about 30 people deep!   Along with the tip envelopes we also passed out more CM Appreciation Card, and again the CM's really liked them.  Our last towel critterThey had never seen them before, it was fun to give them something a bit special along with their well deserved tips.
After dinner, the girls and I went off to see the final Variety Show, and Kristen stayed in the cabin to pack.  I offered to stay and pack as well, but she knew it would go best if I took the kids out of the way.  We enjoyed the show, and Kristen has almost everything set by the time we returned.  We got all the bags in the hall by 10:45pm!  Just 15 minutes to spare!  :-)  So many souvenirs, SOO little space!  ;-)

Off to bed so we can be up for an early breakfast and then zip off the ship.  We check in to Board Walk Villas Tomorrow!
