Our last day at sea
started off
nice and slow. I woke up early to work on the trip report a bit,
and the girls slept in until about 9 or 9:30. We had planned on
going to Lumiere's for breakfast, but they stopped serving at 9:30 so
we went to Topsiders once again. Good as always. The pool
was not too crowded yer, and we got some good seats near the Mickey
Pool. The girls enjoyed the slide before it got too busy, and
then we spent a bit of time in the Goofy Pool. I left
to head back to the room and get ready to go to see an 11am Behind the
scenes presentation, but it was already after 11am when I got back to
the cabin. So
I relaxed on the verandah, and read for a
bit. Got ready just before the family returned at 1pm so we could
all get ready to go see the 2pm matinee of Disney Dreams. What a
wonderful show this is! Do NOT miss it if you go on he
cruise. So many great characters, and the story is quite
cute.
After the show the girls wanted to hit Mickey's Mates (the ship
store)
again, so off we went. This time Kristen and I got some goodies
as well. A couple nice frames (one that fits those elusive 6x8
pictures!) ;-) and another with a cardboard insert with various shapes
cut out to hold your photos. We
took that cardboard insert out of
the frame and dropped it off at Guest Services. They would have
the characters sign it for us! That should make for a great way
to display some photo memories! :-) Now if we can just get
it home in one piece --- Its a rather large frame!
Tonight is our Palo Dinner so the girls are off to the Oceaneer
Club
for dinner and some fun. Brinn is happy because they are making
Flubber again, so she gets to try it too. Maddy is just as happy
to make it again as well! Kristen and I got ready and
headed up to Palo about 20 minutes early. We requested
Louise's section and this was no problem. She was as prompt and
super courteous as our first visit, and we really enjoyed her as a
server. She made GREAT suggestions for our meal, and everything
was delicious. I lucked out that tonight was 'Lobster'
night, so they had lobster tail available as a special. I
ended
up with the Tenderloin and Lobster tail (not on the menu, just ask to
add a tail to the Tenderloin selection). It was very good!
My meat as just a bit closer to medium well than the medium that I
ordered. Louise checked back twice and without me saying a word
suggested that she take it back and get me one that was more correctly
prepared! The new steak was back in moments, and was even better
than the first piece! The lobster tail was wonderful, and
HUGE. Kristen also had the Tenderloin but is not a seafood lover
so passed on the tail. We also shared a flatbread pizza, but only
ate one piece each. There is just TOO much food! The
desserts were wonderful and we of course had a soufflé.
WONDERFUL. OK - stuffed and happy we headed
out. Tonight was our Romantic Turndown service (from the
Romantic Escape at Sea package) , and the room looked wonderful with
rose pedals all around and on the bed, champagne chilled in an ice
bucket, and towel swan's on the bed. Very nice.
Off to pick up the
girls from the club. Forgot to mention that
this time they BOTH beeped us! Madision right at the beginning of
dinner and Brinn just before we went to get them! At Palo, Louise
had Kristen call the club, and Maddy had just mentioned that her tummy
was upset. Maddy uses this excuse a LOT, so they said that they
would beep us again if she had another problem. Brinn just beeped
us after making Flubber which was just before we went to get them
anyway, so no problem! :-)
Time for bed and tomorrow its Castaway Cay and our last full day!
