Around 1 or 2 we got
cleaned up and headed to Downtown Disney for a bit of
shopping.
Tonight is dinner at 'Ohana, but first the girls have some serious
shopping to do! :-) We hit World of Disney first (hard!)
and the
girls put a sizeable dent in their vacation money. They waited until
today for many items because I could get a 10% discount with my Annual
Pass. Even so, I think Mom and Dad spent more here than the
girls
did! :-) We moved on to the 25 Days of Christmas
store where Brinn
had her new keychain engraved. (A unique name like 'Brinn' does
have
its disadvantages!) ;-) She was thrilled to have something
with her
name on it. We also bought a few Disney-fied Christmas ornaments
and
then moved on to Disney Home and the Once Upon a Toy Store.
We found
the Disney Teddy Bear at the Toy Store and the girls got there picture
taken with him. Cute! Then we stopped at Rain Forest
Cafe for our
Yearly Brinn picture. Maddy wanted in on the action too, so I got
a
picture here with her as well. We told her she could pick her own
photo location, but she wanted her spot to be here as well.
Rainforest
cafe decided to get rid of the Frog icon and I'm in BIG trouble!
;-)
OK - just about time to zip off to the Polynesian so we
can have
dinner. I love 'Ohana and have looked forward to it for
ages! We
selfparked without any difficulty and headed into the resort.
Very
tropical and pretty and we headed up to the floor 'Ohana is on.
We had
about a 20 minute wait after checking in and then were taken back to
our table. Service was GREAT! Everything was there
before we could
even begin to ask, and they piled my plate with enough Steak, Turkey
and Shrimp to feed three people. I ate almost all of it!
;-)
YUM!!!!! I think they gave me
4 helpings of shrimp since I was the
only one at the table that would eat it! The girls are NOT any
kind of
seafood fans! More for me, I always say! ;-)
The girls even
tried the kids games this year. They both did the
coconut race around the restaurant (where they use a broom to move a
coconut around a big circle) and they received some gummy worms as a
prize. Brinn also did the hula hoop, but Maddy passed on that
one.
We
had a great time, and after finishing our yummy pineapple dessert
(and the kids made just a dent in their bucket of slush) we headed
out. Drove back to the Boardwalk and enjoyed a little bit of time
in
the lobby looking around a bit. Its very pretty, and deserves a
bit of
your time if you visit!
The girls were
quite sure of themselves and
getting around the Boardwalk by now so once we excited the elevator on
our floor they took off to find the room. Since we were WAY at
the end
of the hall, it took us a while to find them. They were 'Sound
Asleep'
(see picture) outside our door. (Giggling and laughing, but
'sound'
asleep!) ;-)
We were back in time to enjoy Illuminations from our balcony, and
headed out there to watch the show. We just loved sitting
out there
at night and watching the boardwalk activities. We
had a Fortuneteller
right in front of us, that Brinn REALLY wanted to visit. (Found
out
later that its $20 for kids and $30 for adult fortunes. I predict
that
we will be passing on this one! And I was right!) :-) We
also saw the
mobile piano player several times, and loved just to people
watch.
They view of Yacht Club/Beach Club and Epcot across the lake was just
wonderful - especially at night. I'll also predict future stays
at BWV
in our future! ;-)
OK - a nice day, and its time for bed. I've picked up a cold
along the
way, and its really starting to wear me down a bit. Need a good
nights
rest, and tomorrow we planned on Early Entry at Magic Kingdom.
