SunriseUp early again and out on the Verandah.  This time with Postcards on the agenda.  Some have to be sent from here today, so I have to get them done!  :-)   I could soon see Castaway Cay off in the distance, and before I knew it we were backing in.  About that time the Verandah door opens and Brinn comes out.  She isn't feeling well, so we get her some Rolaids.  No help - and she was soon she was throwing up a bit.  After that, she went back to sleep and I had time to clean up the room in preparation for packing today, and type up more trip report.  To be honest I got PLENTY of beach yesterday, and find this very enjoyable.  I can look out over the entire swim area.

Pulling in to Castaway CayBrinn woke up again at 11 and felt better, so we decided to head to the beach.  I think she was just very overtired.  We quickly got ready and headed down to exit the ship.   Jumped on the tram, and got off at the family beach area.  Now for the fun of finding Kristen and Maddy.  There are LOTS of people on the beach, so it might get tricky!  ;-)  Almost right away we ran into Jay and Mik though!  They had not seen Kristen so after a couple minutes chat we headed down the beach.  The farther you go the less crowded it is, and Kristen enjoys it a bit less crowded.  I was sure they would be farther down.   And remember those tie-dye swim suit coverups of the girls... Well, THAT is supposed to be draped over a chair in plain view.  I think it should make finding them MUCH easier... At least it made finding their pictures REALLY easy!  ;-)

Pulling in to Castaway CayBut while the coverup was marking our spot, I saw Kristen and Maddy along the water first anyway!  They were both really glad that Brinn was feeling better, and I was glad to get into that water!  Its another HOT one.   We all enjoyed the beach, and our two rented floats.  Word of advice, keep your eyes on the floats.  Many people seem to think these are for anyone to just grab.  Our walked two times when ever we weren't using it!  Once was kids, but the other time was an adult man.  Oh well....  We made sure to nicely inform them that the floats were rented and where they could get their own.  :-)

Donald and a nephew causing trouble! We had lots of fun in the sun, for a short time.  Then a BIG old black cloud rolled in.  It still didn't rain for a bit, and thank goodness there was no lightening.  So we continued to enjoy the beach.   Eventually, it did start to rain.  Lightly at first, but then it REALLY started coming down.  Those floats also make for an excellent waterproof shield for your stuff!  ;-)    Good time for lunch!

Well, of course EVERYONE had the same lunch idea so the seating pavilion was very busy.  But we got seats without a problem, and even found Jay, Belle and Mik.  They had already eaten, but joined us while waiting out the storm.   Lunch was VERY good - Burgers, chicken, ribs.   Great big chocolate chip cookies and ice cream for dessert as well.

Enjoying the beachThe rain started and stopped several times, so we moved onward to the Sally's Sea Shells store for a look around.  Kristen found a shirt she liked while I ran back and got soaked collecting our stuff.  We decided to head back to the ship just a bit earlier than planned.  Of course, it was starting to turn sunny again by the time we got back to the ship.  I ran into the Post Office to send off a few postcards, and then back onto the ship.  We took some time to pack up quite a bit, and then relaxed until it was time for Kristen to go for her Pedicure treatment and I ran the girls up to the Kid's Club.  Jay and Belle have very generously offered  pick them up and take them to dinner with them tonight.  They are excited to be eating with Mik one more time!

Enjoying the beachAfter dropping off the girls, I head up to the Spa for my Well Being massage.  I had Ananda from South Africa who was friendly and very good.  I think they really need that expansion of the spa, because I was sort of in a breezeway but it had a great view over the navigator's deck and out to Castaway Cay.  And we even started sailing during my treatment, which was fun.  Ananda made sure to warn me before the horn sounded!  ;-)   She did a good job, and found all those nasty stress areas in my back.  It felt great and was a great start to a very nice evening.

Playing in the rainBack to the room afterwards to get ready for Palo.  Kristen was at the kids show that I had missed.  She said it was very cute with all the kids wearing new Sea University t-shirts and mickey ear graduation caps (which they got to keep!)  Very nice.

We were ready a bit early for our 6:30 reservation and headed down to give out tip envelopes to our servers and see the girls before dinner.  Then we stopped in a lounge for a drink and then headed up to deck 10 and Palo for dinner.   It wasn't too crowded, and I think they must have had several available tables that night.  I heard at least two people say they got calls for last second availability.  And we saw several empty tables while we were there.

Our server was Carina from South Africa, and she was very nice.  Quite helpful with the dinner selections, and brought us extra goodies to try.   For starters there was bread with three dipping sauces.  Then a nice sampler plate.  Then we shared a flatbread that was delicious, and each had a bowl of soup.  Kristen enjoyed the minestrone and I the Fish and Seafood soup - it was fantastic.

Our last towel animal and Magical Moment certificatesBy this time I was full!  But decided to press on and enjoy a wonder Filet Minion that was the very best.  Kristen had the same thing, and hers was just as delicious.  Then we both finished off with the Chocolate Soufflé - a signature dessert and incredibly good.  We also had some samplings of gelato on the side.  Also very tasty!  I loved the vanilla and Kristen loved the raspberry.

OK, that's MORE than enough!  Time to roll downstairs, change into some nice stretchy clothes and meet everyone for the 8:30 show.  Disney Dreams tonight.  We found them near the elevators headed for the theatre.  Great timing!    We all headed in to a VERY full theatre, and found seat way down front, but off to the side a bit.  Guess we should have been here a bit earlier for this very popular show.

And the show was excellent.  The girls loved seeing all the characters, and the effects where great.  Its definitely a must see!  After that we headed down to Belle and Jay's cabin to get some of the girls stuff.   It was time to go up and do our final packing and get the bags outside the room.  After doing this, we headed down to shutters to get our pictures and I returned the beeper for the kids club.

Finally, returned for a good night sleep - have to be at breakfast at 6:45 tomorrow... WAY too early for the girls!  ;-)    As we entered the room we had our last towel animal - a Swan - and two Magical Moment certificates from Scallywag Sally.  The girls really liked these.  OK - time for bed and then its off to Walt Disney World and the Beach Club Villas!
