I need a pirate hat... Arrrrrrrgggggg!Slept in a bit later today since we don't have to be anywhere until 9:15 for the kid's pirate cruise that leaves right from the Yacht Club marina.  We got there just a couple minutes late and while Kristen checked in the girls, I got to meet SammieG!  She recognized me and came right over to say hi.  Soon BillJ got there and I met him as well.

Things were a bit hecktic until the girls were ready and off on the cruise, but then we got introductions all around.  Sammie, her husband Richard and Theo were there.  BillJ, his wife Susan and daughter Olivia as well.  Theo and Olivia had done the pirate cruise out of the Grand Floridian before, so they seemed able and experienced pirates ready for this cruise!  :-)
Olivia, Theo, Brinn and MaddyBrinn and Maddy were ready, and had traded in their pirate Mickey ears for the same bandana's all the other kids were wearing.  All the kids looked so cute.

Soon our little pirates were sailing off on their 'ship' and the parents were free for two hours!  :-)

Kristen and I had decided to have breakfast at the Yacht Club Galley.  Sammie and Richard hadn't eaten yet and decided to join us.  Bill and Susan had already eaten so I think they went exploring the resorts.  We met up with them a bit later in the Yacht Club lobby.

Brinn gets her haul of the treasure Breakfast was very good and we had a nice chat.  I really enjoyed talking with Sammie and Richard, and I found it very interesting to hear about Walt Disney World and the states from a British point of view.  :-)  Kristen even got some good insight on some super comfortable shoes she needs to try.  Crocs I believe they are called, and we are now on a mission to find her some soon.

Pirate meet with SammieG and BillJWe met back up with everyone after a bit of shopping in the Yacht Club store, and then headed out to the marina to get the kids.  They were still over on the beach near the Albatross Shipwreck, but soon were back in the water and headed for the doc.  They came in giving big ARGGGGGGGs and looking rather happy.  After passing out their pirate treasure they joined us on shore to show us their ill gotten goods!  ;-)

Trading Pins with Art the GreeterA nice CM helped us out by taking a group photo, and then we said our good-byes.  They were all headed off to MGM, and we were off to Stormalong Bay.  We ran back for a quick change in the room and then back down to the pool.  On the way the girls saw Art the Greeter and spent some time trading a couple pins.

We enjoyed about an hour or so, but some black clouds were rolling in.  We had a bit more time before it started storming, and we got to Beaches and Cream JUST before the run because it started pouring with lightening and thunder.

Lobby of the Animal Kingdom LodgeIt was coming down in buckets as we ate, and still coming down as we headed back to the room.  The girls played for a bit and then we took another nap (love vacation!) before heading over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner.

Looking around the AKLWe took the rental car over so the drive didn't take too long.  We were early enough to explore the store, lobby and outside to see a few animals.  It was still too hot to see many.  They said the giraffes would be in after dark, so we'd return after dinner.

S'mores for dessertBack inside and down to Jiko on he first floor.  We enjoyed a delicious dinner - the Filet is fantastic here.  Kristen and I passed on dessert but the girls had S'mores and more.  It was a plate with peanut butter, chocolate and hot fluff along with several graham crackers.
S'mores for dessertThey had fun making a mess building and eating them.  Then it was back outside to see the animals again.  There were indeed several giraffes outside now, but it was too dark to get any good pictures.  The girls enjoyed seeing them, and then we headed back inside just in time to watch a presentation about South Africa that was very interesting.

Looking at the AKL from outsideWe left around 9pm and headed to Downtown Disney for a quick run around the World of Disney store.  The girls had several items on their list of  'wants' and we try to pick things up there when possible to get the 10% discount.  Their money goes farther that way!  :-)

We were back in the room before 10:30 and they were checking out their new loot!  The little pirates had another great haul tonight, but this time they had to pay for it themselves!  ;-)

Tomorrow, its back to Epcot in the morning.  I think we need to do Soarin' again first thing!  That was a great ride.   Off to bed!
