Up and over to Epcot by opening at
9am. They let us through the International Gateway a few minutes
before nine and held us at the bridge to France. At 9am they let
us go, and asked us to walk to Soarin' - assuming that is where 90% of
us were headed. Brinn and I went on ahead at a quick pace to get
Fast Passes for Soarin. We actually got there just a touch after
the people from the front gate. They told us CM's walk the people
from the front gate to stop them from running. Made it pretty
even for us getting there around the same time.
On
inside to get our Fast Passes. They were good for 9:48, which
meant that we had plenty of time to do the Circle of Life movie (in an
almost empty theatre), and then Living with the Land. We
enjoy Living with the Land, and this time Kristen asked me to get lots
of pictures in the hydroponics area. Her kids (teacher) typically
have a bit of trouble with a unit on Hydroponics, and she thought pics
might help. Pics I can do, but be glad I'm not sharing ALL I
took! ;-)
We
were now
in our Soarin' window, and went to jump in the Fast Pass line. It
was pretty much a walkon to the front of the line, and we just had to
wait for the preshow before heading in. We ended up in row
three, which we didn't mind at all. I thought the view was pretty
good here. Loved it again and saw two hidden Mickey's during the
show.
As
we were heading out I realized that Sheryl and Terry were right in
front of us! We were planning to meet them later for lunch in
Mexico, so it was really funny they should be right in front of us as
we left Soarin. I went up and started bugging Terry to walk faster, and
then he turned around to see what my problem was. I think it
still took a couple seconds for it to register that I was a jerk that
he actually KNEW! :-D It was pretty funny, and then we
started our hellos all around. I got to meet Sheryl's sister
Sandy (Sparker) and her husband and son as well. It was great
seeing them, but we only chatted a couple seconds. They
were with a big family group, and our two wanted to do Soarin' again
since the wait said 20 or 30 minutes. So we headed back
into line and while it was a bit longer than when we first went by, it
moved quickly. Loved it again and got the front row this
time. So, we tried rows 1, 2, and 3 and enjoyed them all.
So we won't worry about which row we get in the future. They are
all great!
OK - enough Soarin, and we only have until 11am before we are supposed
to meet Shery and family for lunch. So I head off to get Fast
Passes for Test Track, and Kristen and the girls head to Mexico.
As I'm leaving the Fast Pass machine at Test Track who do I run into
but Sheryl and crew! :-) I thought Small World was in the
Magic Kingdom! ;-)
