This has started to become a tradition of
sorts. We’ll do MK early entry our second week, and Kristen decides
to stay and sleep in a bit and meet us later. We have a late
breakfast at Crystal Palace today, and she will get to the park in
time to make it to that.
The girls are also a bit slow getting started, but after we get out
of the room they are doing better. We JUST made the bus having to
run to the bus stop when I saw it pulling up. Whew! It was pretty
crowded after we stopped at the Boardwalk, but soon we were at the
MK and through the bag check. We were pretty early, so after they
started letting folks through the turnstiles we ended up right in
front of the rope.
Lots
of fun as a couple characters came out to say hi. We saw the fox and
cat from Pinocchio and later Pinocchio and Geppetto as well. They
were fun, and played a bit with the crowds and people waiting. *I*
got pulled out of line by Geppetto and turned to face the crowd. He
placed first one hand on my head, then the other... then proceeded
to tickle me under the arms... While I didn’t loose it laughing or
anything, I did offer a warning that this was a DANGEROUS game to
play in August in Florida! :-D He seemed to understand and agree!
;-) Good thing it was early in the morning still!
They
made us promise to not take off and then took down our rope.
Bwahahahahaa.. But we were good and only took off after
they said we could. :-) We continued our traditional pathway
straight to fantasyland and the walkway through the castle was open
today.
We
were pretty much first ones there, but they dropped the second rope
JUST before we got there and a mom pulling along her daughter bolted
out of line and over to Tinkerbelle’s treasures to wake Tinkerbelle.
Our girls have been dying to do this as well, so we followed even if
we weren’t first.
The
CMs were great and let both families participate. Dad of the other
family was a bit unnerved that mom took off though from the talk he
gave her when he and a son arrived. ;-) The got to wake up
Tinkerbelle, and each received a certificate. It was fun, but
nothing to kill yourself over trying to do. I think the girls were
under whelmed a bit, but it was still fun.
So, back to Fantasyland and start going on the empty rides. Peter
Pan, Snow White, Pooh, Teacups, Space Mountain, Buzz and Transit
Authority. Brinn still freaked a bit about Space Mountain, but went.
Someday she’ll remember she likes this ride, but I’m not holding my
breath!

I got a call from Kristen that she was almost to the park, and we
met her walking out of Tomorrowland toward the hub. The castle show
was about to start, so the girls and I stood right in front of the
stage in full sun to wait! HHHOOOTTTT!!!, but only 5 more minutes to
show time. I took about a jillion pictures and it was a good show.
The girls liked it, and Kristen had found a good bench to sit on and
watch. (She’s a graduate of Moley’s touring school and came out with
high honors!) :-D *I’M* the dumb one that stands in full sun for
these things. Stupid camera.... ;-)
