Slept in again today, and got on the road back to Orlando just after 10am.  It was about an hour and a half drive back to Beach Club Villas.  We checked in, but room wasn't ready.  We figured this, and grabbed a few items from our checked baggage and headed to Epcot.  I love that we could just walk there.  Very convenient with two strollers.  It was already 1pm, so we didn't have a lot of time before our 3pm lunch Priority Seating at Le Cellier.

We entered through the International Gateway, and started walking toward Spaceship Earth.  It was very hot, and we were glad to stop at Ice Station Cool on the way.  You'll be glad to know that Beverly soda is as horrible as always!  I don't know WHY I insist on trying it each trip!  :-P  Note, you can roll your strollers right on through Ice Station Cool.  We left ours outside, and had to backtrack to get them again.

We continued on to Spaceship Earth, and as I expected, the line was almost non-existent at this time.  We love this ride and it was nice and cool.  A/C was a must for attractions THIS afternoon.  The sun was out full force and it was toasty.  Perfect time to explore Innoventions.  The park was pretty empty today, and we even got to send a couple postcards (emailed from the IBM display).   By the time we finished the East and West sides it was time for our early dinner at Le Cellier.

The food was very good.  I had a NY Strip (wonderful) and Kristen had a Prime Rib sandwich.  The prime rib was a bit too fatty for Kristen's taste, but after 'cleaning it up', she said it was very good as well.  I would suggest the late lunch here to anyone.  It was not too crowded, and the lunch prices are pretty reasonable.  The portions were sure more than enough for us!

Maddy was getting tired, and the room should be ready, so we headed back to the BCV.  Called for our room assignment and headed up.  Third floor one bedroom unit (336) that overlooks the pool.  VERY nice.  No fun towel art this time.  After staying in Wilderness Lodge and now Beach Club Villas, we think we like the villas better at WL (more personality) but we love the BCV for both Stormalong Bay and a great location near the action.   Both are beautiful though, and we love them both.

Kids slept while we setup the room.  I got everything put away and then uploaded days 6 and 7.

Illuminations Cruise!

Kelli (holding Regan), Aaron the skipper, Keith and Randi

Boardwalk
Time for our Illuminations Cruise with Kelli and family (Khay).  As we approached the Yacht Club marina, Kelli picked us out right away.  (I had sent a family picture from last year).  Checked in with captain Aaron who was very friendly and a lot of fun.  FULL of bad jokes and puns!  :-)  We loaded onto our pontoon boat and got settled.  These boats are very comfortable, and each family having the front left or right side of the boat to themselves.  (Kelli also has four in her family)  There were a few open seats in the back since the boats hold up to 10, I believe.

It was great talking with Kelli and her family.  They were all very nice, and it had been a big day for them - Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Breakfast and 1900 Park Fare Dinner followed by the cruise!  I know my two little ones would have been a wee bit testy by then, but Kelli's son Regan (2) and daughter Randi (5) were doing great!  Kelli's husband, Keith, is like Kristen.  They both leave the obsessive planning to their spouses, right Kelli?  :-)

We headed out for the MGM area and I really enjoyed the ride.  It was a very pleasant night, and there was a nice breeze from cruising down the waterway.  Aaron would point out details, ask questions and share some 'great' jokes!  :-)

We then sailed back to the Boardwalk area and parked under the bridge in France inside Epcot.  We we right next to the other pontoon boats, and then Aaron and Jeff (the captain of the closest boat) had a 'bad' joke contest until Illuminations started.  Aaron was the winner, but it was very close.  They both told some pretty horrible jokes!  :-)

It was time for the show to start, and it was perfect.  The wind was blowing away from us, so no problem there.  We had a fantastic view, and I saw more this year than any other year.   I think everyone enjoyed the show, even my three year old that was not too happy with Mommy and Daddy for forgetting her earplugs in the room!  :-)  oops.  Mommy just got to watch the show with her hands over Maddy's ears!

We cruised back to the dock, and got a couple family group pictures with Aaron.   Said our goodbyes to Kelli and family, and then went on a search for some Ice Cream.  Beaches and Cream was packed and since the kids were pretty well rested from a long nap, we headed around the Boardwalk.  Stopped at Sea Shore Sweets for Ice cream and just enjoyed the Boardwalk activity.  I noticed they are refurbishing large sections of the Boardwalk Villa Rooms.  These sections are completely hidden behind screens, so I would assume that none of these rooms can be rented.  Any of the occupants would have NO view at all (except the scaffolding).

We headed back and got everyone to bed.  Tomorrow is MGM!
