Daddy and Brinn after riding Tower of Terror

Up at 7:30am to catch the 8:30 boat to MGM.  After staying at the Yacht Club a couple times, the walk to the pier from the BCV seems long, but if you do it right it can be mostly in Air conditioning!  :-)  (On the other hand, the walk to Epcot from BCV was great!  So give and take!)

The boat was arriving just as we walked out the pier.  (I love that!)  and we boarded a rather full boat.  Plenty of room to sit, but we still had a stop at Swan/Dolphin to make.  Turned out fine, there weren't many waiting at the S/D.

Arrived at the park, and zipped through security.  There were a lot of people waiting to get in, and they opened the gates soon after we got in line.  We headed to a guest relations booth to make dinner reservations.  We use the one at the head of Sunset Blvd, and there was no line.  No problem getting the reservations, but you have to plan around the parade.  The parade starts at 5pm, and the dinner package is good for early dining (3:30 - 5:30)  I had to get 4pm to be out in time for the parade, which made a trip back to the room a bit of a problem.  We'd have to see what happened...

Headed on the great movie ride, since the throngs were headed for Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller.  On to Star Tours, which is now Brinn's favorite MGM ride.  Maddy was not quite as enthused, but still seemed to like it well enough.  Neither ride had much of a wait.  As we headed across the park, we ran into Cruella DeVil, and Brinn wanted a picture.  Maddy wants NOTHING to do with the Villians, so Mommy and Brinn got in this one.

On to the Animation tour for Daddy, and Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney for the girls.  The tour took almost an hour between 15 minute wait time and 40 minute tour.  Kristen and the girls did both Mermaid and Playhouse before I got out.  Loved the tour, but I also have a life long fascination with animation, so that isn't surprising.  The girls really enjoyed Mermaid and Playhouse.  This worked out very well.  When we met up, we waited in line to see the Lilo and Stitch characters.  (Follow the Stitch footprints near the Animation Tour entrance)  Long line, but the girls love them.

I had grabbed fastpass tickets for Rock N Roller (RnR) Coaster so we headed that way.  I grabbed more fastpasses for Tower of Terror (ToT) before we went on RnR.  When you do the parent swap on RnR they give you a special fastpass for the second adult, so we ended up with 3 extra fastpasses for this ride.  (Since the girls didn't ride it.)  Gave these away to a very happy family... :-)  Kristen and I love this ride, but once each was enough, the girls were getting bored.  On to ToT!  Brinn was waffling on this ride.  Should I stay or should I go...  Finally decided to go.  Maddy said, "No way!"  Kristen can take or leave ToT, so decided to leave it today.  Off Brinn and I went.  She was scared, but still had fun.  Once was enough though.  She didn't want to go again with Mommy.  Two more lucky recipients of extra Fast Passes!  :-)

We were moving right along today, so time for a bit of Villain Store shopping.  Some neat stuff, but we didn't buy anything, other than slushies at the end store.  It was another hot one today, and these were great.  Headed to the back of the park to watch the Hunchback show.  Ran into a few characters outside the show, and got some more pictures with Mushu and Jafar.  The show was very good and then it was up NY street, and around until we happened to find the Monsters Inc. Area (near the commissary).  Jumped in line for pictures with Mike and Sully.

On to the Muppets show which is one of Maddy's favorites.  She really wanted to do this one.  Show started almost as soon as we got there, so about two minutes wait time.  Nice!   After exiting we saw Buzz, Woody and Jesse and also saw a VERY big line.  While the girls like them, they aren't a favorite, so we passed.  Ran into Kermit and Miss Piggy, but they had to leave JUST as we got to them.  Luck had to run out sometime.  So I took a picture of someone else's kids with them!  :-)

Here comes the rain.  It was almost time for dinner priority seating, so we headed to Hollywood and Vine in the light rain.   We got in immediately, and none too soon.  The heavens opened up and boy did it come down.  The strollers were under an umbrella, but it did next to nothing in this downpour.  Should have found a better place for them, because they were soaked.  Dinner was very good.  We really like this place.  And it was great to be out of the rain.

Right after we finished eating it was time for the parade.  we found a fairly good spot right on the main drag, but it got mighty crowded by the time he parade actually got there.  It was also near a cross walk and this security guard was standing right in the way through most of the parade.  It was annoying because he wasn't there when we picked the spot and was right in front of the kids.  They still enjoyed the parade.  There are some great characters in this parade.

Since we had seen almost everything we wanted to see in this park, we wandered around and enjoyed a few repeats.  Eventually headed to Fantasmic to get our reserved seat.  It was already packed in the non-dinner package sections, and by showtime it was completely full.   The show was great and the girls loved it, as did Kristen and I.  Then they hurded us out like cattle and we decided to walk back using the path.  We love doing this, and didn't even see a boat come until we were already half way back to the villas.

Tomorrow is a pool day, and then the Ice Cream Social at Epcot.
