Slept in the next morning, since we didn't need to get to the Mini-meet at Beaches and Cream until 11am.  Finished getting all the bags arranged and then had the Bellhop place most of them in storage.  We kept the kids carryons, and our swim gear.  Headed back to Disney World and arrived at the Beach Club just before 11am.  Walked in and through the lobby out to Beaches and Cream entrance where we immediately found Karen (TigH) and Ross her husband.  Karen recognized us right away and we all started talking about the trip.  I think Karen must have memorized our trip reports!  :-)  She remembered more about what we did than we did.  It was great!  She had brought her trusty camera and took a few pictures of the girls (who were a bit too shy to cooperate much - sorry Karen)

Beaches and Cream was pretty empty when we first went in, but filled up pretty fast.  Not too many people made it to the meet (I can completely understand, there are so many choices to make with your time spent at Disney, its hard to fit everything in)   We sat with Karen and Ross and enjoyed a great conversation with them.  It was like we'd been good friends for a long time.  It was great to finally meet face to face.

Inside the restaurant we met Sheryl,
her husband Terry and their two sons: Zachary and  Nicholas.  They are vacationing from Buffalo, NY.  We also met CindyB from Pixie Gifts.  It was great finally meeting people I had only 'talked' to over the Internet.  We talked about our various vacations, and learned how much Karen, Ross and CindyB like living in Florida.  Part of me would love to relocate near Orlando, but family and friends back home in NY make that a tough choice.  Kristen waffles back and forth as to whether or not she could move there.  Right now, we plan to stay put for a few years at the very least.

Everyone had ice cream but me (still full from the Hard Rock the night before), and those are some mighty big sundaes!  Karen got some pictures of the different sundaes, but no one went for the kitchen sink.  :-)

Sheryl and family were so nice and had toted presents for Brinn and Maddy and several bottles of Buffalo Wing Sauce all the way to Florida!  She had bottles for each of us (and a few left over since not everyone came).  I LOVE chicken wings (or pretty much anything with Buffalo Sauce on it - had some GREAT Buffalo Shrimp in Ocala...), so my bottle will go to good use!  Thanks Sheryl and Terry!

It was tough to finally head out.  We got a few group photos (minus Sheryl's boys who were off playing in the arcade).  Said our goodbyes and then headed back to the car.  We kicked around the idea of hitting a park instead of the pool, but it was just too hot.  Took a few more pictures of the Beach Club Villas on the way back to the car and then drove back to Portofino Bay.

There is a nice set of restrooms near the pool, and we changed there and then spent a couple hours enjoying the slide, sand and nice cool water.  A great and relaxing last day.  We grabbed a sandwich and pizza at Sal's Market Deli in the resort (very good) and then headed off to the airport.  We took I-4 to the Beeline toll road (only spent $1.25 in tolls this way).  Followed the signs to return our National Rental Car.  Very quick and easy, they print a receipt right at the car.  Grabbed a cart and loaded on the luggage.  Fought the elevators to get over to ticketing and got all the luggage checked.  It was about 5:30pm or so, and the lines through security were VERY short.  We zipped right through.  If you have a laptop, make sure to take it out and run it through the x-ray machine separately.  They made me do this both coming and going.  MCO provides plastic bins to place the laptop in.

Flight started loading at 6:50pm and our connection through Pittsburgh was right on time.  Arrived in Binghamton, NY around 11:30pm and drove home by a bit past 12.  Amazingly, the girls were still awake and rowdy (Maddy had a snooze on the way to the airport and up until the first flight took off). But after getting them into their PJs,  they quickly drifted off to sleep in their own beds.

It was a fantastic vacation, and we're glad to be safely home.  Its been fun sharing it with everyone, and this trip report will make a great 'keepsake'
.
