Up bright and early for another Magic
Kingdom day. Since this is the kids favorite park, we wanted to
spend some more time here, and we hope to run into Jasmine this afternoon.
We caught the 8:30am boat and arrived just before park opening.
We headed back to Fantasy Land and immediately split up. I took
Brinn on Snow White, while Kristen and Maddy got in line for Dumbo. Maddy
did not want to ride Snow White, she wasn't too happy with the darker rides.
Brinn and I walked right on, and enjoyed the ride. We zipped
over to Dumbo, and ended up riding in the same group with Kristen and Maddy!
Next, Brinn wanted to do Peter Pan, and Maddy wanted to ride Winnie the
Pooh, so we split up again. No line at Peter Pan so we zipped right
through. Brinn and I got over to Pooh just as Kristen and Maddy were
finishing their ride. They had been in the same car as Eeyore! (And
I had the camera! Darnit!) Maddy was quite excited, and could
not share her version of the experience fast enough. We jumped in line
again, (Brinn was hoping she'd get as lucky as Maddy did) and watched
both Tigger and Eeyore exit the ride just before we got on! :-(
We ended up in Eeyore's just vacated hunny pot and found the pink
ribbon from his tail! The CM running the ride assured the girls she
would make sure he got it back again. :-)
After a fun trip through the 100 Acre Woods, we headed over to the ever
popular Teacups. The girls just can't get enough of this ride. Brinn
switched to Mommy and I rode with Maddy. After a quick spin, we
rejoined at the exit and Brinn informed me that Mommy didn't spin the cup
fast enough and she was riding with me next time! :-)
Just then, Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore came walking up the pathway. We
followed them to a character meet area near the Pooh ride for a few more
pictures. The girls love these characters, and Maddy was excited to
see Eeyore again. We walked over to Ariel's Grotto, and it was already
open with a fairly short line. I had though it opened later in the
morning (it was just before 10am) I really should READ the Times guide...
;-) We had to wait a few minutes and then the girls were right
in with Ariel. Got a good picture, but had forgotten the Princess T-Shirts
for the autograph. Oops... I think Kristen was more upset than
the girls were! Maybe next visit...
It was almost time for the new Cinderlla's Surprise show, so we went
over and staked out a good spot right in front of the stage. Full
sun, and blast furnace hot, but the show was great and Kristen got some
great pictures while I videotaped. This is a great show, and I'm glad
we made sure to catch it on our last Magic Kingdom day.
Off to TommorrowLand. We got fastpasses for Buzz Lightyear and
then headed on the transit authority (people mover) ride. Spent some
time trying to talk Brinn into riding Space Mountain, but she still wasn't
interested. I knew if she would just try it, she'd love it, but the
fact that she would have to sit in front of me really freaked her out.
We wandered until it was time for Buzz. I did a bit better this time,
178,000 or so. Still not even near the REALLY big scores of heard
about.
