Our RoomI woke up dark and early Friday morning! :-)  It was 5am when I got up and worked on the trip report for a bit, until it started to get light out.  I wanted to beachcomb a bit this morning along with get some sunrise pictures.  Headed out around 6am, and headed down to the beach.  I found a few shells, but nothing spectacular.   When the sun started to come up it was quite beautiful and the pictures just don’t do it justice.

DirectionsI took tons of pictures and headed back up to the room.  I assumed everyone would still be sleeping, but the whole family had been up (the girls woke Kristen up) and had watched the sunrise from he balcony.  We had some breakfast in the room, and then headed out to the pool shortly after 8am.  We got a great table with Umbrella at the pool area, but MANY chairs and tables were marked with towels with no one there.

The pool seemed a bit cooler this morning, but still very warm.  The slide opened up at 9am and the girls hit that hard and heavy for quite a while.  It’s a fun slide, and you can move right along if you lay on your back (this is from personal experience!) :-)   Eb and Flo’s opened up at 9am as well, and Kristen jumped in line to sign the kids up for the Un-birthday party.  Each day at 2pm they have a party for the kids (kids only) for an hour.  This is a free activity that is very popular and the CM at Eb and Flo’s said that it fills up quickly.  Best to be there at 9am.  And to get a hour of free babysitting is quick a perk! :-)

MaddyWe swam and swam, and Maddy set a consecutive number of slide rides record! :-)  She LOVES this slide and just did it again and again.  We played in the pool for quite a while and then decided to head down to the beach for a while.  BrinnWe had a great time playing in the waves and the sand.  The girls started playing tag with the waves, and we even got Brinn out a ways.  (They are both a bit scared of the ocean)  Kristen ran back for the camera so we could get a few pictures on the beach.  After a while Maddy was showing a bit of crankiness, so I took her back to the room for a nap.  I checked the dryer, but it was the same one and still squeaking louder than ever. splash! I called maintenance and they were there within 30 minutes to install another washer/dryer.  Problem was that this machine had a broken water temperature selector!  :-)  Only hot water...  I called back and told them about the problem, but also said that it wasn’t an immediate problem for us – we’d make due.   It took about 30 minutes to get the old unit out and the new one in, and we’ll wait on the colored laundry.  :-)  At least we can dry things now.

Main BuildingMade lunch in the room and relaxed for a bit.  Kristen and Brinn came back for lunch before the 2pm unbirthday party.  We walked the girls down to the Community center that they had all set up for the party.  another buildingFirst they played musical chairs and while they were playing Goody came in.  He started to play musical chairs with the kids, and those without a chair got to sit on Goofy’s lap, and then go up and pick an instrument to play while he remaining kids played the game.  Next they broke a pinata and then finished off with cupcakes. A Beach House (All info supplied by Brinn and Maddy)

Kristen and I took this chance to explore the store in the lobby and then enjoy a Mudslide in the Green Cabin Room.  We actually sat out on the balcony outside the lounge and enjoyed the beautiful view.  A great hour and then we headed back to pick up the girls.  They each had a bag of candy from the pinata and excitedly told us about the party.  Un-birthday PartyWe headed back to get swim suits back on and I decided to take a nap.

The girls enjoyed the pool and slide and then came back with salad and pizza from Shutters for dinner.  Both were very good, and then we just enjoyed relaxing in the room watching some TV while the girls played with their toys and colored.

Lobby Time for bed and up and out to the pool/beach early tomorrow morning.
