Disney StudiosOK – Up and at ‘em to arrive at Disney Studios by opening time.  We caught a boat around 8:15am or so, and were there before 8:30am.  They let us in around 8:45, but then made us wait at the rope until exactly 9am – walking everyone down Sunset Blvd to prevent running.  They treated it as a game called. “Let’s not trample the nice CM”  :-)  I grabbed fastpasses for Rock N Roller and then met up with Kristen and the girls at The Great Movie Ride.

While this worked great during the
Enjoying Stormalong BayChristmas rush, the Movie Ride took FOREVER this morning.  It was around 9:40 before we finished it!  And there were not even that many people in front of us, it was just running dead slow.  The paint looked fresh and I noticed small changes in the ride, but not too much else since this last refurbishment.  We had enough time to make Playhouse Disney so we headed there.  The kids loved this show, and it was the first time I had seen it.  Very cute.  Bear in the Big Blue house, Rollie Polli Ollie, Stanley and Pooh Characters from the TV shows.  Lots of fun for the little ones.

Just floating around the lazy riverOK, we were coming to the end of our Fast Pass window for Rock N Roller, so I quickly grabbed fast passes for Little Mermaid and we ran to make it to Rock N Roller.  Playing on the sandbarWe had to Child swap, and I hate it on this ride.  They make the second rider wait outside the ride all together, so you have to wait in the fast pass line twice – once for each person.  Good thing this is a great coaster, because it took almost an HOUR for both of us to go through!  Which made us REALLY close on our return time for Voyage of the Little Mermaid.  We ran, Stormalong Bay Sandbarand JUST made it before they let in a few standby people.  It was a great show as usual, but I did notice that the part where Triton talks to Sebastian at the beginning had been cut out.  Made me wonder if anything else was different... I think there was, but I’m not positive.

The Kitchen Sink! The kids were tired and a bit cranky so we decided to break early today.  It was getting REALLY busy, but they told us after entering the park that it was going to stay open late tonight, and have two Fantasmics: 9pm and 10:30pm.  So we opted for returning to the resort – getting lunch at Beaches and Cream and then enjoying a swim in Stormalong Bay. We Did It! The burgers and onion rings were very good but too filling to leave room for dessert – and we wanted to try a Kitchen Sink this trip.  After swimming a couple hours we headed back to B&C and ordered the HUGE sundae.  They make quite a production when it is served, and it was fun being dubbed ‘little piggies’.  :-)  This thing is HUGE, but between the four of us we did pretty well!

Inside Star Tours lineWe decided it was nap time before returning to Disney Studios that evening.  I left everyone sleep until after 5:30 and then we headed back to the Studios.  Star Tours had about a 10 minute wait – then we just made it into the last showing of the Indy show.  We had never seen this Stunt show before and it was pretty good!  Indiana Jones ShowWe all enjoyed it.  It was getting toward 8pm, and we found out that keeping the park open until 10 didn’t mean much since so much closed early anyway.  All the shows were done.  Millionare was done.  Even the Walt Disney exhibit was closed!  So we watched the Muppets show and then headed back to Sunset Blvd.  Kristen took the girls shopping while I headed to ToT to check the wait time.  Over 65 minutes, so I passed and grabbed another Turkey Leg!  :-)  Yum!

Tower of Terror Called the girls on the radio, and met up in the Villains shop.  They always have great things, and we found several items for gifts for those back home.  Around 10pm we headed into the Fantasmic line.  It was already crowded, and but we still found room in the center, Sorcerer Mickey section.  Actually – the theatre was probably only about 2/3 full.  I think I really LIKE these late showings!  I never minded a side view, but I have to admit the straight on view for Fantasmic is even better.  It was a great show, and we all really enjoyed it.   With the non-full theatre, the exit crowd was not too bad tonight.  We quickly found our stroller, and caught the first boat back to Beach Club.  Even had a seat!  Not too shabby! :-)

It had been a long day, and tomorrow we get to sleep in and enjoy a pool day.
