MGM TreeI was up and ready to go by a little before 8am, but let all three girls sleep in this morning.  Maddy needed the rest and would hopefully feel better.  Brinn was up until after 1am, so she needed more sleep as well.  They will join me at Disney MGM Studios (MGM) later this morning.  Thank goodness for the magic of cell phones!  :-)

As I walked out to the bus stop I saw the MGM bus!  Yay!  Then I saw it pulling away.  Boo!  So I plopped myself down on a bench to wait.  Much to my surprise another MGM bus pulled up about two minutes later!  I got this bus all to myself ALL the way to MGM!  We even saw the other bus leaving FW as we pulled in.  Of course, no one was waiting.  So I enjoyed my personal bus service to the park!  ;-)

I was there by 8:20 and ended up being first in line at the turnstiles.  LimeGreenCheri and family joined me at the next turnstile over a few minutes later and we chatted until they let us in.  Its a bit foggy, but I remember seeing FLSharon and John, and Zakerdog and Gary that morning too I believe.  Then I started seeing LOTS of Taginators on their way to the Stop, Drop and Roll meet.

MGM TreeAt 9am, they let us through and we headed down toward Rock’n Roller Coaster.  (RnR) The group was to meet at the Fast Pass Machines, get Fast Passes and then head over to Tower of Terror (ToT) and wait in line.   After everyone arrived and had grabbed Fast Passes for RnR - SusanL and BaciBecky awarded a few prizes for correct answers to trivia questions.   My favorite was when Jimbolini won the Minnie Christmas ears!  :-D  They looked good on you Jim!

Tagrel and his girlsSo off we went for ToT for our DROP!  There ended up being more than enough of us to fill an entire car, so a few people went in another car.  As soon as someone sends me a scan of the filled car I hope to "merge" the picture to put everyone in ONE elevator!  :-)   It was a GREAT ride, and quite a wild bunch!   We chatted in the store area while a few people bought pictures and then we were off again.

Now it was time to head back to RnR for the ROLL portion of our meet.  I don’t think we even NEEDED the fastpasses - there was NO standby line at all when we returned!  On we went, and it was pretty much a walk on.  I rode with Moley and we had a great ride in our super stretch limo.  :-)   After exiting the ride we all gathered under the big guitar for a group shot.  As luck would have it a Photopass photographer was right there to take our picture.  Many people also got personal shots as well.   It was a great meet and a lot of fun.

Face Painting - MaddyNow everyone was splitting up into smaller groups.  I joined the crowd with breakfast on their mind.  A group of us headed off to Starring Roles for a quick bite to eat.  About then I received a call from Kristen that she and the girls were on the way and I told her to meet us at the cafe.  They arrived just after I sat down to eat a bagel and some water.   How many people are on a bread and water diet at Disney!  ;-)  But it sounded good at the time.

Face Painting - BrinnAfter that a few of us headed to the Great Movie ride.  It was great as always, and we got the cowboy this time instead of the gangster.  That hasn’t happened to us in quite a while.  It was a fun ride and then we split off because the girls wanted to do Star Tours.  Maddy was feeling much better this morning, but we were still a bit concerned taking her on such a bumpy ride.  She did fine and the girls loved it as always.  It was about 11am and the girls were hungry, so we headed over to the counter service restaurant near the Indy Show.  (forgot the name, obviously!) and had some lunch.   Then it was time for the Muppets meet.  Photographer and AmyMouse were hosting this one and after some fun games for a few prizes we headed inside.  We timed it pretty well - the preshow was already in progress and soon we were inside enjoying the show.  The girls actually like this 3D movie.  Mickey’s Philharmagic is the only other one they like.  Bug’s Life still freaks them out and they don’t like Honey, I Shrunk the audience at ALL!

After the meet we headed off on our own again.  The girls were checking out the face painting, and we decided to splurge and let them do it this trip.  Maddy choice the Princess and Brinn the Mermaid Princess.  It was fun watching the CM’s work, and they did a great job.  Brinn’s CM missed a center section on the first try, but she quickly added it when we pointed it out to her.  They were really quite busy today, so I’m sure it gets hectic for them trying to keep up with all the customers.

After that we decided to head back toward the entrance, do just a bit of shopping and then head back for a rest before dinner at Chef Mickey’s.  We were taking it real slow today and Maddy seemed to be doing OK.   We didn’t mind missing a lot of the attractions, since we were just here in August, and it was nice to take it slow.  We hit the Big Hat for a few pins, and then we HAD to stop in the Villains store.  Nothing new of interest to us, but we did enjoy the Streetmosphere actors as they put on a show out in front of that store.   Then it was off to the busses.  We grabbed a couple pictures by the MGM Christmas tree and then waited for our bus.  It was there in about 10 or 15 minutes and we were on our way.

The Birthday Girl and a special visit from Donald

On the boat to Chef Mickey's!Back at the resort we got ready for dinner and placed our Gift Exchange presents in gift bags.  Easiest to NOT wrap presents on vacation!   We had four presents this year - two kids and two adults.  The girls played for a bit and then we headed down to catch the boat to the Contemporary.   We arrived early enough to do a bit of shopping in the Contemporary stores.  Kristen and the girls really like these stores, and we saw several items we would pick up after dinner (so we didn’t have to carry them).  Maddy fell in LOVE with a big floppy Pluto stuffed animal (and PJ holder).  I’d return later to grab that as a special gift.

On the boat to Chef Mickey's! Nice Shirt!Back to Chef Mickey’s and a HUGE line to sign in.  It was back past the Steakhouse entrance!  I jumped in line and eventually got to the front to get our beeper.  They were taking NO walkups at all, and kept telling people to come back around 8pm!  It was packed tonight.   We had a table of 16, and it was ready pretty much on time at 5:20p.  Maddy enjoyed a nice party with Moley, AliciaG, Sheryl, MargaretJ, Belle, Beast, Mik, LimeGreenCheri, Ken, Naomi and Ethan!  It was very nice and the food was good tonight.  All the characters made it around, and even Donald (who was up front) stopped by for a special Birthday picture when they brought out a cupcake with candle for Maddy.  Lots of fun and a great place to have a birthday dinner!   A big thank you to everyone that attended and Maddy (and Brinn!) loved all the gifts they received!  And so did Kristen and I!   Thanks!  It was a highlight of the trip.

Grand Floridian TreeAfter dinner we had some time before the Kid’s Gift Exchange at 8:30p.  I ran back and picked up a few items from the store, and then we jumped on the Monorail.  We wanted to see the Grand Floridian decorations so we got off there.  I went off to take pictures of the tree and Gingerbread house while the girls did a bit of shopping in the stores there.  Then it was off to catch the Wilderness Lodge boat from the Magic Kingdom.   We had just enough time to run to the room to grab the presents and back down to the lobby for the meet.

GF Gingerbread HouseMany people were already there when we arrived, and SusanL and BaciBecky were holding their second great meet of the day!!!  But first JustJan was hosting the Kid’s Gift Exchange.   Everyone had gathered in the sitting area next to the inside hot spring (which was off tonight) and we made a HUGE circle.   The kids gathered in the middle and exchanged their gifts.  Everyone seemed excited and happy and spent the rest of the night playing with their new toys and new friends.  RhinoDad’s wife Wendy was kind enough to entertain the kids with her wonderful face painting (I think our girls started something with their face painting) while the Adult gift exchange started.  There were a LOT of people present so it took quite some time to play!  We had a blast with much Stealing and Hiding of presents!  I’m ashamed to say that both Kristen and I stole our presents!   Kristen stole a Monorail game from poor Photographer, and I stole a Mickey and Minnie clock from CandiB.   The shame!  But we sure do like those presents!  ;-)

special Surprise for Maddy in the roomAt one point a CM working in the Whispering Canyon told us to keep it down.  "Don’t make me come down there!"   This was pretty much met with cries for Ketchup and straws from our lively group!  :-D    Good to his word, about 20 or so minute later there is CM - BJ sitting amongst the kids!  He was great and lead us all in a rousing rendition of Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer!  It was great fun, and I think we took over the WL lobby just a LITTLE this evening!

After the game was done and we had cleaned up and taken a GREAT group photo in front of the tree, it was time to say goodbyes.  I gave Moley and BetsyAnn a ride back to Port Orleans and then headed back to the WL for a good night’s sleep.  Another fun filled day and lots of time with all our Taginator friends!

And just to add even more fun to a super Birthday - We returned to find balloons and a card from Cinderella and Prince Charming!   Maddy was very excited and said it was a great birthday!

Tomorrow is Epcot and the Mega Meet, so off to bed.
