I woke up fairly early and started packing everything up.  It sure is easier to pack up for two people on a 4 day trip, than 4 people on a 2 week trip!  :-)    After getting most everything ready, we went downstairs to enjoy a nice ‘quiet’ breakfast at Whispering Canyons.  :-)  This restaurant is ANYTHING but quiet, but we knew that and enjoyed the fun.  I even needed ketchup!  ;-)  We had the breakfast skillet and it was very good.  We headed back up to the room to finish packing, and called Bell services to take the bags down to the car.

After saying our good-byes to the WL, we jumped in the car and drove to Downtown Disney Marketplace.  We had over half a LARGE suitcase, just waiting to be filled with Christmas presents to take home for the girls.  :-)  We found lots of goodies at the World of Disney, and the 10% AP discount came in handy!  We continued through the shops and found more presents in Basin (Grandma), the Christmas store and others.  Finished it off with a nice ice cream sundae at Ghiradelli’s.  Yum.

DVC Saratoga Springs Resort ConstructionAround 4pm it was time to head to the airport.  It was not too busy on 417, and we quickly arrived and returned the rental car.  Checked the bags in some pretty short lines, and then walked around checking out the shops there in the airport.  Even found a shirt in the right size that the Airport Disney Store that they didn’t have in World of Disney! :-)

We grabbed some Villa Pizza for dinner, and then headed to our gate to wait for the flight.  We were a bit nervous because we had about 30 minutes between connections (they had changed our flights about a month back).  The flight was on time, and even though it was full we took off pretty close to the scheduled departure time.  The pilot made up the few minutes in the air.  We still ran to our connection, and made it about a minute before they started loading.  This flight was only about half full, so we each grabbed our own row, and enjoyed some space and snooze time on the much smaller plane.  Landed right on time, and I headed out to get our car while Kristen grabbed the bags.  It was VERY cold (about 27 degrees), and quite the shock after enjoying Florida temperatures for several days.  Worse yet, was the need to shovel our our drive way at midnight when we got home!  :-)  I wanna go back to Florida!!!!  ;-)

It was a great trip, and we had a very good time.  It would have been perfect if Kristen hadn’t gotten sick.  I don’t know if we’ll be able to go in early December again, but I’d definitely love to!  The many MouseFest and Tagrel.com meets were the best, and it was great having time to spend with so many internet friends!

Happy Holidays!!!
