Webmasters and Authors at MegaMeet 2003This morning was a breakfast meet for the authors and webmasters attending the MegaMeet that day.  I was going to miss it, but Kristen just wanted to sleep, so I got up, ready and headed out to leave her alone to rest.  We had our cell phones so I could check up on her throughout the day.  She was better in the morning, and now needed rest to get back on her feet.  Problem was we had Candlelight Processional reservations at San Angel Inn that night.  I was able to cancel these at the front desk after I told them Kristen was sick (even though we were inside the 24 hour cancellation time).  Whew!

Tagrel.com Mission:Space Meet: Matt, Jimbolini, Stinkerbell, Tagrel and WillCAD - the non riders aren't in the picture! The breakfast meet this morning was at Tubbi's Buffeteria in the Dolphin.  There was quite a group of people there when I arrived around 8:30am, and it was wonderful to meet Deb Wills (All Ears Net), Jennifer and Dave (Passporter), and many other Disney legends! :-)  I ate at a table with Jim Hill (JimHillMedia), and Steve Barret (Hidden Mickey's) and Jim has an amazing amount of inside Disney knowledge!  The Roy Disney vs Mike Eisner was the topic of conversation this morning, and it will really be interesting to see how all this pans out.

MouseFest MegaMeetAfter breakfast, we all headed up to the Copa Banana room to get a handle on how things would work that afternoon for the Mega Meet.  It was also a great time to chat with all the authors/guides, and even get a group picture.  Everyone was SO nice, and being from a small and relatively new site didn't seem to matter a bit.  I received lots of compliments on the site, and meet so many great people.  Everyone's love of  Disney really showed!  :-)

I had to leave a bit early to make the Mission:Space meet.  Arrived a couple minutes late to find that poor Cheri was back at her hotel sick as well!  :-(   So much for dragging her on Mission:Space this trip.... We'll just have to try again the next time!

MouseFest MegaMeet: FlSharon, LindaC, Bill and WillCADWhile not everyone rode Mission:Space, we had a pretty good turnout!  MargaretJ and her son Matt were there.  BetsyAnn and her Mom, Elaine, Stinkerbelle and a couple of her friends, WillCAD and Jimbolini.  We had a great time chatting in the line while we waited around 20 minutes or so.  Really not too bad a wait, and the line moved MUCH faster than it had in the previous July! :-)  I really like this ride, and enjoyed riding it again this trip!  I think everyone that rode really enjoyed it as well, and we had NO more 'sickness' casualties!  ;-)

MouseFest MegaMeet: WDWDen - Dennis!I split off from the group for a whirl wind tour of the World Showcase on my way back to the Dolphin for the Mega Meet (Sure did get my exercise today!).  Exited through the International Gateway and caught a boat as it was leaving.  It was good to sit down on the way to the Dolphin! :)  Arrived just after noon and headed up to the Copa Banana.  There were already many people there, and I'd like to thank BetsyAnn and her mom Elaine for coming to help as greeters.  Deb Wills was expecting up to 500 people today!  Quite a turnout!

MouseFest MegaMeet: Tagrel.com group The room was separated with Authors on one side, and Webmasters on the other.  I was able to mingle for a while, and talk to a few more people from other sites that I didn't get a chance to talk with that morning.  It was great meeting people from so many sites - and the guidebook authors were a friendly group as well.  MikeS and his wife was there representing MousePlanet, and the first site member to show up was none other than Dennis!  (WDWDen).  :-)  It was great seeing him again, and he was able to stay for the entire meet!   Others that I saw included AliciaG, WillCAD, FLSharon and her husband John, Bernard and Miss Bianca, SusanL, Figgy and her husband Dick, BetsyAnn and her mom Elaine, Ahnalira and Alan, TigH and Ross, and LindaC and Bob!!  It was a great time!

MouseFest MegaMeet: Tagrel.com group: WillCAD, AliciaG, Tagrel, WDWDen, FLSharon, John, Miss Bianca, SusanL, Figgy and BetsyAnnI had called Kristen several times, and she was finally hungry so I headed out right at 3pm (missed the big Passporter photo shoot, but that's OK.  I know I was there is spirt!)  :-)  I did sneak a peek and a picture of the Dolphin Christmas tree.  It is MAGNIFICIENT, with huge toys, and even a very large working train running around the tree.  A must see!  :-)

More MegaMeet Friends: Miss Bianca, Bernard, Ross, Anhalira, WDWDen, Pixie (another site Pixie) and TigH Brought Kristen a light snack of pretzels and fruit, and then we both laid down for a nap.  I was wiped out and slept until 7pm.  We went downstairs and got a VERY light dinner at Roaring Fork (now *I* was feeling a bit sick), sat in the lobby for a while, and finally headed back to the room by 8:30 and went to bed!   A less than spectacular end of day (again), but I'm saving LOTS of money on meals this trip!  ;-)
