Ahhhh... Everyone gets to sleep in today!  I even slept in to 7am, which is REALLY saying something!  I let the girls sleep until 8am when Stitch called to wake us up again.   We got ready really quickly seeing as we were headed to a water park today!   Typhoon Lagoon was on the agenda this morning, and it didn't open until 9:30pm.  Typhoon LagoonWe grabbed the rental car and drove over.  Arrived just before opening, and only needed one kid's ticket from the ticket window.  Bought a $6 sticker for the refillable mug we brought and headed into the park.  Kristen ran off to find a good spot while I grabbed towels ($1 a piece) and a small locker. ($10, with $5 back when key was returned).

Called Kristen on the Cell Phone to know where she ended up, and then met the family there.  After getting settled we headed over to the new Crush and Gusher water coaster.  Ended up doing it twice and really enjoyed it.  Maddy was very close to the 48" height limit and had a touch of trouble reaching the handles when she leaned back.  But she still had a blast!   One tip, keep your butt lifted up a bit, or expect it to get whapped a time or three.  It was a great amount of fun, and not bad at all.

Then we headed off to do Shark Reef.  This was the first time Kristen and I had done this, and the girls wanted nothing to do with swimming with all those fishes.  The look on Brinn's fast was perfect when we looked into the swimming area and saw TONS of fish!  :-O  There was NO way she was going in there... and SHARKS!????  Are you CRAZY!???  Well, the fish and sharks really keep their distance.  And it was very cool to do this attraction!  I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Gush And CrusherThe girls also enjoyed some slides.  Kristen and I did the Storm slides with them a couple times, and they they both did them a couple more times.  It wasn't too busy yet, so they went over and over with just a few minutes wait.   Then we headed back to our 'place' and hit the wave pool.  The girls love this thing, and after a few crushing waves, they decided they didn't need us to hold them anymore!  They could do it THEMSELVES!  Next it was on to the Lazy River.  After floating most of the way around (VERY busy and crowded!) we suddenly ran into Beast!  Not the big furry one, but the one married to Belle with a daughter named Mik!  :-)   We knew they were going to Typhoon Lagoon today, and it was amazing that we found them in these crowds!  Very cool!  Belle and Mik were nearby, and we soon joined up with them.  We floated a while longer, but then decided to get out and head over to grab some lunch together at the Leaning Palms.

BrinnWe separated, but regrouped at the counter service restaurant a bit later.  It was hopping there, and it was a bit tough to find a table.  If they weren't all full, they had friendly (we hoped!) neighborhood bees and/or a canopy of birds overhead.  NOT fun when you just want to eat!   We all grabbed a meal, and ate and chatted for a while.  It was nice to talk to Belle and Beast again, and the girls really enjoy talking/playing with Mik.  After lunch we headed back to the wave pool for a bit and the 7 of us enjoyed the waves.  OK, Belle ran whenever the whoosh and scream marked a new wave on the way, but she quickly returned after it past!

Maddy

We again said our goodbyes, but know we'll see them again on the Cruise leaving Thursday.  Can't wait!  On the way out of the park, the girls again saw a hair braider, and looked at the 'pre' made ones.  They liked the colors here quite a bit and both ended up buying one while I headed back to empty out the locker and return the key for my $5 deposit.  Then I was off to take a few pictures, and met them back at the hair place where they had already picked out the hair wraps they wanted.

We then headed out of the park and drove back to the resort.  The girls all needed a nap and that gave me a nice block of time to kick back, relax and work on the trip report some more.   After naps we'll get ready and head to Animal Kingdom for the Extra Magic Hours tonight.  We don't need to do many more attractions, but I was some nice pics after dark tonight!  :-)

Wilderness LodgeAt 5pm I woke up the girls.  They wanted to try out the Jacuzzi tub so they jumped in there to get cleaned up.   It was only AFTER everyone got ready that I checked the AK hours.  For whatever reason I had it in my head that the EMH were from 6 - 9...  Wrong!  It was 5 to 8!  So I called to have the car brought around and we zipped down to the front.  No waiting on busses tonight, or we'll never get there!  Arrived around 6:30 - and they had it blocked off so you had to park MILES away even though there were plenty of closer spaces by this time.  Grrrrrr  number 1.

Animal KingdomWe head into the park, wait behind ONE open turnstile while people fight with those stupid finger scanners.  Those things are the pits, and I have seen the CM's override them SO many times already.  Kristen's hasn't worked a couple times already and all they did was ask her name.  {{shaking head}}  Sigh....  mini grrrrrrr...

Lilo and StitchWait in another line where they wanted to scan each resort id.  Even the kids!  I didn't BRING their ID's, but they let us in anyway.  (At Epcot I showed one ID for the party)  I asked the CM about this and they said not all CM's do it correctly.  Big surprise there!  ;-)  Got our braclets and headed in.  NO body had any time sheets for extra magic hours.  I did see ONE copy that was a CM's, but had to give that back.

AK at nightWe had missed the last Tarzan at 6:15.   Another Grrrrrrr.  I really wanted to see this one last time, and had Tarzan picture requests (Hi Moley!).  Rats!   No Festival.  No Exploration Trails open.   Only food choice, Restaurantosaurus and Rain Forest Cafe.  Sigh.....  I was NOT pleased.  And my biggest bummer was that it was still full light when we had to leave at 8pm.  No night time pics or touring of the park.  I was really looking forward to that.

AK at nightSo, we did Tough to be a bug, and then headed back to Dinoland again.  We saw Lilo and Stitch and stopped for photos on the way.  (What do Lilo and Stitch have to do with the AK?  I was surprised to see them there)  Brinn wanted to ride Dinosaur once more (LOL - with her head down and hiding the entire time.  She likes the bumpy ride!  Maddy went with Mommy and they rode Primeval Whirl three times without ever getting off!  Then we just headed out.  Not really worth the time and more than a bit disappointing.    We exited through Rainforest Cafe, and found that they continue to seat about 45 minutes after park close.  So we ate in there.  No DDE discount, but DVC gets 10% off so that was nice.

After a nice dinner we headed out and I got my only nighttime AK pictures.  ;-)  Then hiked a mile back to the car and headed on home!  Tomorrow is Chef Mickey's for breakfast!  Better get some sleep...
