Ahhhh... Everyone gets to sleep in
today! I even slept in to 7am, which is REALLY saying
something! I let the girls sleep until 8am when Stitch called to
wake us up again. We got ready really quickly seeing as we
were headed to a water park today! Typhoon Lagoon was on
the agenda this morning, and it didn't open until 9:30pm. We
grabbed the rental car and drove over. Arrived just before
opening, and only needed one kid's ticket from the ticket window.
Bought a $6 sticker for the refillable mug we brought and headed into
the park. Kristen ran off to find a good spot while I grabbed
towels ($1 a piece) and a small locker. ($10, with $5 back when key was
returned).
Called Kristen on the Cell Phone to know
where she ended up, and then
met the family there. After getting settled we headed over to the
new Crush and Gusher water coaster. Ended up doing it twice and
really enjoyed it. Maddy was very close to the 48" height limit
and had a touch of trouble reaching the handles when she leaned
back. But she still had a blast! One tip, keep your
butt lifted up a bit, or expect it to get whapped a time or
three. It was a great amount of fun, and not bad at all.
Then we headed off to do Shark Reef. This was the first
time
Kristen and I had done this, and the girls wanted nothing to do with
swimming with all those fishes. The look on Brinn's fast was
perfect when we looked into the swimming area and saw TONS of
fish! :-O There was NO way she was going in there... and
SHARKS!???? Are you CRAZY!??? Well, the fish and sharks
really keep their distance. And it was very cool to do this
attraction! I would highly recommend it to anyone.
The girls also enjoyed some slides.
Kristen and I did the Storm
slides with them a couple times, and they they both did them a couple
more times. It wasn't too busy yet, so they went over and over
with just a few minutes wait. Then we headed back to our
'place' and hit the wave pool. The girls love this thing, and
after a few crushing waves, they decided they didn't need us to hold
them anymore! They could do it THEMSELVES! Next it was on
to the Lazy River. After floating most of the way around (VERY
busy and crowded!) we suddenly ran into Beast! Not the big furry
one, but the one married to Belle with a daughter named Mik!
:-) We knew they were going to Typhoon Lagoon today, and it
was amazing that we found them in these crowds! Very cool!
Belle and Mik were nearby, and we soon joined up with them. We
floated a while longer, but then decided to get out and head over to
grab some lunch together at the Leaning Palms.
