What are your favorite haunts?

I love to visit the 4 Disney outlets. I spend more money there than I do at WoD.

I also love to browse through a couple of the big flea markets. I dont always buy a lot of stuff there, but they tend to be a slow, relaxing break from teh hectic rush of a Disney trip. I also find good selections of luggage there when I have bought too much at the outlets and need another bag to get it all home.

I will often visit Old Town to browse a few of the specialty shops, and in the past I have also been known to try the Mercado, but I haven't been there in 4 or 5 years.

I go to one of the local Walgreens several times a trip for film processing, snacks and drinks, or sundries like toothpaste or otc meds that I forgot to pack.

In years past I used to go to Wild Bill's dinner theater, but unfortunately that's gone the way of the dodo now. I have also gone to Medeival Times a few times, and once or twice to King Henry's Feast.

Once in a great while I'll even stop off-site for dinner at Sunny's BBQ or breakfast at a local IHOP. Yes, I like IHOP.

And of course, I visit Universal Studios on almost every trip.

We have started back going to Universal for a couple of days on our long trip now. Once on Disney property we usually do not venture out again but I do like to go to Celebration & I would like to go to Old Town again. We also went to the outlets this summer but not sure I would make a special trip there again as I did not find anything I had to have.

We usually head for the beach, that means Cocoa Beach and Ron Jon's and all that stuff. We have take folks to the Cape for the tour, but since Cathy and I have been there so much with work, it isn't really that big a draw for us. I think we are going to have to branch out some more in the Orlando area and see the things that are around there.

We always like to check out the disney outlet at prime Outlet mall. I've haven't been to the flea markets in along time but we have good ones right by where we live.

I love to go to Celebration. Columbia's restaurant is one of my favorites. Even tho we have one in Sarasota, we sometimes eat at Celebration. They have a farmers market here on Sunday that we sometimes visit on our way home.

I occasionally go to the Outlet Malls. I've been to Mall of Millenia once, but barely went in - mostly just Macy's. Went to one of the Flea Markets, but quickly got discouraged the way it was set up so didn't stay long. I always go to Super Walmarts. That is about it for stores, and never do a lot of shopping really. I'm not much of a shopaholic just for the looking - I prefer to go when I need something.

Almost forgot, I sometimes go to Old Town only look in a few stores though. Listen to music. Look at the crazy people on the high swing/drop things.

I do eat offsite sometimes too. Perkins for Breakfast. Last few times I've gone to Cici's Pizza because I'm poor and they have hands down the best fill you up deal anywhere. Sweet Tomato's is one of my favorites, so I sometimes go there. My new favorite offsite restaurant is Bubbalou's Bodacious Barbeque.

Haven't gone to Universal in years, except CityWalk last year. I did go back to SeaWorld the year before last I think - when they had a buy one day, get one year free special.

I sometimes pick up the coupon for free go-kart ride and do that.

During the Holidays like Halloween & Christmas, I like to check out the decorations in Celebration. Sometimes just walk around Celebration and grab a meal.

There must be more stuff but not coming to mind right now.

Yikes! The thought!!

Actually, we only go offsite for two things: Church (awesome I must say) and to visit my friend on Orlando (she's pretty darn awesome as well!).

I forgot about that! We always make the trip on Sunday morning to Our Lady of the Universe. At least it gets us up bright and early one day of our vacation.

I personally spend loadsof time off property!

Dragon China for Chinese is an absolute must as they are one of the best in town. The waitress doesn't even come over and ask us what we want to order, just shows up with the Diet Cokes and says Pepper Steak and Szechuan Chicken right? ;) too funny.
Orlando Ale House has the bestest wings!!
Logans Steaks and HOPS steaks are the best for a casual dinner.
Home Depot EXPO located directly across from the Millenia Mall. There is also one in Boca, but I like this one better.
Bealls at the corner of Sand Lake and John Young.
Bealls Outlet near Kirkman is the best one IMO
SuperTarget in Hunters Creek and also the one near the Home Depot EXPO (kill 2 birds with one stone)
The new shopping center called THE LOOP which is at John Young and Osceola Parkway. Kirklands Home just opened in here and have amazing deals. Michaels is also new in here and ya know how I feel about Michaels
There is also a Ross in the LOOP where my good friend is one of the managers, so we gotta stop and socialize while we snap up the bargains.
And lest we forget U Snooze U Lose also known as Global Imports. This place is awesome with a lot of 1 of a kinds. :yahoo:
Oh and Marges Specialties. This is a little bit of a hike from the world (about 20 minutes) but she has great Christmas stuff and beautiful arrangements!!
For church, we head off to First Baptist of Orlando (you can also see this Sunday mornings at 9 am on Channel 9)

Well, I'm still learning my way around, so lots of exploring mostly shopping. Usually I'm looking for something fairly specific then head out on a quest to find it. Last week I checked out one of the flea markets on 192 and found a few good deals there. My 'big bargain' was a black leather fanny pack marked $8.99 for $2.99. For that price even if it doesn't last long, it's still a good deal!

The first time I drove up I Drive to the Prime Outlets (was Belz), I was in tacky tourist heaven! I have not yet stopped anywhere, but I just love all the lights and 'decorations'. I think my favorite facade has to be Wonder Works! upside down building. One of these days I'd love to just head down I Drive with some friends and explore some of these touristy places.

I accidently came across this store after Linda had told me about it. It's like the prop house for a major movie studio has been put on sale. This place was a hoot just to wander around!
