Rumors are that the following will appear as narrators for the CP.

Andy Garcia, Ben Vereen,
Rita Moreno,Steven Curtis Chapman, Edward James Olmos, Sandi patty,
Robbie Benson and Gary Sinise.

I've not had time to check all of their websites, but Ben Vereen's does say this for his schedule:

December 1 – 3 Holiday Reading at Disney World Orlando, FL

Off to see what more I can find.

Who are Steven Curtis Chapman and Sandy Patty?

ETA: Sandi Patti's site has listed dates of 12/19 - 12/21 for CP in EPCOT

Sandy Patty is a Gospel singer.

Apparently Steven Curtis Chapman is also, or maybe Christian rock- I had to google for him.

Chapman and Patty are popular Christian pop music entertainers. Thanks for the info, HC!

Steven Curtis Chapman is perhaps one of the most popular Contemporary singers. Hes awesome!! He has a great voice so narating should be great too. I have probably more than 50 of his songs. Sandy

Patty was a Contemporary Christian Singer back in the early 80's and shes still going today. They will both be excellent choices to hear.

Thanks, ladies. Guess you can tell I don't listen to gospel music. Actually, I don't really listen to music at all except Disney. I gotta get a life ....

I'm hoping to find out who will narrate on 11/29 and 11/30. Once I know for sure, then I can choose between those dates or Ben Vereen. Once that's done, I can start to make my other PSs.

Thanks again.

Ben Vereen??? Wow! He's a real favorite of ours, as DH and I are musical comedy afficionados.

Does that mean if we're going on Dec 2 that he'll be our reader that night? Or do they have a different reader for each individual show ?

If he is, in fact, scheduled for those dates, he would read for all shows on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. So, yep, he would be your reader!

I'm going to hold out just a little longer to see who will do the 29th and 30th.

We've been quite a few times and had Marlee Matlin, (with an interpreter), Robby Benson, James Avery, and John Tesh. While they were all enthusiastic and wonderful readers, I think I enjoyed Robby Benson the most. He seemed to be enjoying himself so much and just looked like he was in awe. However, James Avery had the most awesome and incredible voice. John Tesh was the one who made it the most spiritual for me. All incredible narrators, so I guess it wouldn't matter to me too much.

That trip will be here before you know it.

A poster on the DIS says the only confirmed date they knew of was Gary Sinise doing the Christmas-to-New Year's slot.

So we're whittling away at the "surprise" list little by little here...
