How do I add a picture to my signature and what is the size limitations?
Thanks
Hi mickeefan!
From your profile it looks as if you already have a site that hosts images for you--that's the most importanat step. All you need to do is find the pic you like, upload it to your hosting site, and then right click on the uploaded image to get the properties so you can see the url. Copy the url and go to the "profile" button here. Then, just put the tag, paste the url, and then the closing tag.
So, the code for the pic in my sig is:
[ img ]http://home.comcast.net/~lanceamy/wsb/media/223947/site1025_t.jpg[ /img ] .
Just remove the spaces in front of and after the "img" tags (the tags should look like this: and ) and replace my pic's url with your pic's and you're all set!
You know what--maybe I'm not the best person to explain this, lol

Hi Mickeefan! :D
We have never enforced limits on sizes of signature pics, but, of course, common sense dictates a few. Too many pixels wide and the thread you are in will read funny to all who download it. We will have to scroll the screen to the left and right too much to read all of the posts. So it is better to watch the width of the pic than the length. A nice size is 150x150, but Tagrel himself can tell you what is recommended even better. If you email him a pic you want in there, he can resize it for you.
The way to add it to the profile is to use the code for images {img}{/img}, using lower case brackets instead of the upper case I just used. This would be inserted into the space for "signature" in your profile. Tag can also add it to your sig, if you like. Good luck. Can't wait to see what you pick for your sig! :)

What Moley and Amy said! :)
When I host a picture I resize it to an acceptable size. Large enough to see, but not so big that it takes everyone a long time to download it, nor does it mess up our forum display. Send it to tagrel@tagrel.com
I prefer for them to stay relatively small when they are in signatures, but I've let one or two people get by with oversized pictures in their signature if it is hosted from their own site. (Hi WillCAD )
If it becomes a problem I'll start enforcing size restrictions, but for now something no bigger than 300 x 300 should be OK. I just don't like having to scroll two pages down to read a one line response! :)
Using a smaller font for LONG lists of trips also helps reduce the size of signatures a bit.
And as the others have pointed out, to insert an image using BBCode use the format:
[img]http://your_web_site.com/images/pic.jpg[/img]
Let us know how it goes! :)

And what a good FAQ question! I'll have to add that to the list! :)

I resemble that remark.
