Yeah, yeah I know it's more than 2 months away but this is a forum full of planners. Do you have a list of what you have to do before MouseFest? Are you searching for just the right jammies or loin cloth? Are you thinking of surprising everyone with a new haircut? Will you grow taller? OK, that last one was a longshot except for kids who can't plan on growing but it may happen anyway.

Here's my list thus far

new jammies
new sneakers
haircut (trim, really)
order film
renew AP

La-la-la-la-la I can't hear you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't dare create my entire list because I'll freak out!

Lets leave it at LOTS TO DO! :letsgo:

I have two to-do lists! One is kept in Word with my itinerary so that I can share it with my fellow travellers; it includes their to-dos, too. An example there is Bernard needs to book a rental car. The other is in my trusty PDA, a PalmOne Tungsten T3 which I adore, and is my personal to-do list. Today I added "Get Disney Rewards card from Chase" with a date of Oct 30.

I have to say that my Disney trip planning to-dos are crossed off must faster than, say, my exercise ones

Here's what I come up with off the top of my head:

1. Get answer from DH about MNSSHP on 12/1. Order ticket(s), whatever the answer.

2. Create schedule for breaking news to DH of meeting approx 75 new online friends while at WDW. Think of ways to convince him that they are not stalkers or weirdos.

3. Obsess over whether or not that last day at SSR will come in and if I will upgrade from POP to POR if it doesn't. Who needs that new range anyway?

4. Find out if the "good through 12/1/05" remark on DH's AP means that it will be good for 12/1 or not good for 12/1.

5. Try to get DH to talk about whether or not he thinks he will go to WDW again before 11/30/06 to determine if I should renew his AP or put him on day tickets.

6. Insert all TagrelFest oops I mean MouseFest activities into WDW trip planning spreadsheet.

7. Post inquiry in MouseFest forum to try to locate a partner for hosting a WWTBAM meet.

8. Decide if we will go on DVC Member Cruise in Oct 2006 and whether or not the Dec 3rd booking date will conflict with Brunch at the Ball.

9. Add to October trip list to locate electrical outlet in Electric Umbrella should I have to take cell phone to Brunch at the Ball and call DVC to book cruise from there.

Oh, man, that's just for starters. I didn't realize I have so much to do - thanks for making me think about this! I think I will be wearing old PJs and and sneakers!

Well, I'm not able to attend Mousefest this year, but when I did last year (and if I were going this year) this is what my To-Do list looks like:

1) Disney Rewards card ordered
2) Handy Dandy Passporter all set (stuffed with APs, coupons, travel itineraries, etc. - basically everything that I could need for my trip - travel wise)
3) Go to dollar store or online and find Mousefest treats (if I were hosting a meet)
4) Make list of important cell numbers (co-hosts/moderators, etc.)
5) Get hair done (one of my thrice yearly highlights and cuts)
6) Perhaps get toes done - I will be wearing sandals after all! ;)

That's pretty much all I can think of - other than the packing of course. :D

Oh rats, ya know, I'm mixing it up with my party in October! LOL! I think I did this just the opposite way in another post. How about MNSSCP? Or MVMHP?

Ya know, I just prove my Fairy Godmotherness every day! Now, where DID I put my wand?

Kathleena,

If your Dh's pass states good thru 12/01/05, he will be able to use it until midnight on 12/01/05
You would have to buy another for Dec 2nd and on.

Hi Lisa,

Well for SOME OF US  going in October the Mousefest to-do lists will have to wait.

I do have trip slash folders for all my trips. Each folder will have something like my airfare confirmation, car rental info, room ressie, special event media (MNSSHP, MVMCP), as well as a list of things I want to do on the trip...for instance, I may want to take a photo of something special or video an event...I'll list those things because you never know if you'll remember everything.

My list will include all my ADRs...I will carry that with me at all times to remind me where I'm supposed to be at a certain time.

My to-do list usually includes dates to have stuff completed. For instance I like to have all my camera batteries charged 24 hours before I leave...all "need to purchase" things about 3 days before I leave, things like that.

And yes I do get a vacation haircut...usually somewhere between 5-10 days before going however I got my October :pumpkin2: trip haircut TODAY.

I usually put together a final checklist that I go over the day before I leave and check off things as I pack them.

Mousefest requires a special checklist because of everything going on...especially if I'm bringing trinkets and gifts. In that case my checklist and to-do list starts a month or so before the trip.

Lists are more important as you get older...LOL :lmbo:

:( :( :( You are way too right about that. I used to be able to remember everything. But I filled way too many brain cells with old TV theme songs and now there are none left for important things like WDW Trivia and where I'm supposed to be today.

My to do list for mousefest is mercifully short:

Order 10 day premium ticket
save money! (maybe invest in a few Disney Dollars)

Now the Marathon list will be more substancial cause there are more of us going

Thank you for prompting my to-do list:

1 - order visa rewards card

2 - get pedicure

3 - buy a new pair of khakis

That's about it!

It is when your feet don't like shoes and every pair you try on your toes start screaming "Let me out" - I'm a flip flop kind of girl

Boy do I have lists of things to do...lol.

It always seems like I spend so much time making a list of things to do, and then I just wing it.

Or I make a list of things to pack and I don't double check the list to make sure I packed everything.

Last year I forgot to pack my cell phone and santa hat for MVMCP.

I do have a lot of things to plan.

I did find something to help me pack. I found these zippered, see-through, mesh packing cubes.

I pack my t-shirts/shorts in one packing cube, my pants in another packing cube, shirts in another packing cube, camera, batteries, chargers, in another packing cube, etc..

Then I just pull out this cube out of my suitcase and place one in each drawer at the hotel.

It makes it so much more easier to pack.

I don't know what I would do without my pda.

And now I have a mobility scooter to pack. But not in a packing cube.

See you guys there.

Sincerely, Ray :)

I just love planners. MikeS - you sound like you do about what I do.

I use a Creative Memories scrapbooking organizer for all my upcoming trip paper organization. One or two folders for each trip - depending on how much there is. All my papers go in there and come out the weekend before the trip when I pack.

Every thing I have that goes on trips repeatedly gets packed at the end of the prior trip. If I know I won't take it the next trip (like grandkids stuff) then it goes in a box.

The Excel spreadsheet I have has all the phone numbers, ADR#s, times etc. Plus a short list of "must do" stuff - like buy a certain pin, or take a picture of something.

The weekend before my trip - I print out my ever-updated packing list and start packing. List also has all the things I have to do before I leave - like turn the water off, take the keys to the neighbors, buy cat food etc.

So anyway - here's my updated list - down to two items. Time to make the next list!

2. Create schedule for breaking news to DH of meeting approx 75 new online friends while at WDW. Think of ways to convince him that they are not stalkers or weirdos.

5. Try to get DH to talk about whether or not he thinks he will go to WDW again before 11/30/06 to determine if I should renew his AP or put him on day tickets.

Carol, you're saying you need shoes - there's an SAS outlet in the Buena Vista Shoppes. I buy shoes there every year.

Kathleena, girl after my own heart. I, too, plan by excel spreadsheet, constantly updated packing list and schedule complete with phone numbers, ADR#s and must do / must buy list. Are you, perchance, an engineer?

Got a DING! today and dropped my airfare 100$ on the round trip. I think I can scratch that off my to do list.

Do you have your to-do list on your PDA, too? I have even my packing list on my well-loved Tungstun T3,in a program called SplashShopper. Makes things so easy because we can reuse the same list every time.

Well - I suppose I'm in that mindset - I'm a Project Manager!

And that's great about the $100. I wish we had SW in Maine! Going to Manchester NH for only two people - the hassle and the cost of gas/parking etc just negates the savings!
