OK, how many of you had to pick yourselves up off the floor last night, when Brad Garrett came out and kissed Gary Shandling for a LONG time? Alright, I know it was primetime and everything, but I thought it was a hilarious poke at the Madonna/Brittany thing. I couldn't quit laughing. :happytears:

I really enjoyed the many mini hosts last night. It seemed like the show stayed fresh that way. I'm sure Sandar will be along to update us on the winners, and how the Taginators scored in our picks, but I just wanted to say I enjoyed the show, and found lots of funny moments to make it fun. :D

 at Brad Garrett! He was having some fun, definitely, and I loved the "worth every penny" line, too.

I think Joan Rivers looked even more ridiculous than Bjork did a couple years back. The pacing of the show was uneven but I'm such a TV fanatic it all was okay by me. I was glad for Tony Shalhoub and all the Sopranos actors who won. And I was surprised to see Amazing Race beat Survivor and American Idol.

Anyway, here's the list of winners:

I thought the Brad-Gary kiss was hilarious, but I was somewhat put-out with the humor of Wanda Sykes. I really like her on Comedy Central, but I thought some of the stuff she said - especially the many swear words - were more for the MTV Awards than the Emmy Show. I don't think Bill Cosby was thrilled at all when she was talking with him. Aside from Ms. Sykes, I thought the rest of the comic crew did a great job and it was a super way to keep the show interesting.

I was tickled that The Jon Stewart show took home a few awards. It's one of my favorite shows. The tribute to John Ritter was poignant and seeing Walter Cronkite brought back memories. The entire show was quite well done. And, speaking of Bill Cosby, how magnanimous to close his speech with honors toward Fred Rogers and opening with a nod towards his own wife for sticking with him through thick and thin. A class act!

Lady, the Madonna/Brittney thing was all the hoopla that followed the MTV Video Music Awards this year. Madonna, Brittney Spears, and Christina Aguilera performed together, and both girls shared a kiss with Madonna. It was all over the papers and the morning news shows the next day. I think they made more of a big deal out of it due to Brittney Spears "good girl" image. Nobody seemed to even mention Christina Aguilera much.
