View Full Version : Transportation to Kona

For those of us relying on Disney transporation, what method of transportation would be the best to get to the Kona meet? I don't think the busses run early enough to go to MK or somewhere else, then monorail over to Poly.
Any ideas? or would a cab be the best choice? I never used a cab at WDW. Does the front desk call them for you, or are you left hunting them up in a phone book? And how long does it usually take a cab to get to your hotel?

Don't worry Carry, I will pick you up at your hotel with my rental car.

I also will have a rental car and only an "almost 8" year old boy - so if anyone would like a ride - let me know and we can come get you!
We will be at Beach Club!

Carrie,
Things could have changed, but I think the first bus to MK is at 7:00 We had an 8:05 ps for CRT last Aug. To ensure we weren't late we were on that bus out of BCV and were at the front gate by 7:20.
I'm going to call member services and double check on the time for the fist bus. I'll be staying at OKW by the time of the Kona breakfast and I've got the same concern about how I'm going to get to Kona myself.
In case the bus isn't out that early I would appreciate a ride if someone doesn't mind. That is assuming of course that Dennis doesn't come and isn't my roommate.

Should we start a carpooling thread - we can post who may need a ride when and to where and then people can organize who may be able to pick someone up.
I know that whenever we are going somewhere I sure would not mind a couple extra riders but we have to coordinate somehow!
What do you guys think?

My thought exactly - and he won't even be there so why should he trouble himself worrying about us and our little MF Party planning!
Soooo I started a new thread!
Thanks anyway Den - we will miss you!
