Okay, this question is for you budgeteers. I bought a 7 day 4 options pass two years ago. We used 4 days and one option. I thought this trip we would at least need one more park day. Do I just buy a one day ticket or do I put out and buy another 7 day 4 options. I can afford it a the moment. Do you think I'm better off buying more that what I need? Do the rates go up enough to justify the cash out flow now, that this would be a good investment? We'll probably go back in 2005. Thanks for your input.

I tend to 'pre-buy' tickets myself when I have the money or find a 'deal' (those are few and far between!).

I have a 7 day adult and a 4 day child set aside, and will use them both between this coming December and next July with only one more 4 day child pass to purchase before next July.

With interest rates as low as they are, saving Disney's usual yearly increase can only help. And the fact that they are good forever doesn't hurt! I used one last day from a 1987 pass a couple years ago to spend a day in the Magic Kingdom doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour. They can come in handy!

Just don't lose the tickets! :)

Like Dave, I tend to lean towards pre-puchasing. Plus, it gives ya an excuse to plan another trip!

Since you can afford it now I would buy the extra tickets. It is always nice to have the extra days for another trip at a later date, because when that date comes around it doesn't seem like you spent so much money.

This advice is very good! I still have one day on a ticket from when my DD was a child still - she is 20 now. Haven't seen that ticket in a long time, but I know I must have it somewhere. I do however know where my some of my original A, B, C, D, & E tickets are - but those are of sentimental value now.

Buy when you can, prices will always go up. AND, if you get a good deal like the Fairy Tale packages with discounted tickets, you can always save for the NEXT trip. At least it is a guarantee you will go back - you HAVE to!

I'm going to do exactly what you're thinking about doing. We're going next Aug for 5 nights and I'm buying 7 day Hopper Plus tickets now. Why pay the higher price next year? I know that I won't use all of the days on the tickets in Aug but after that trip I may not get to go again till 2008 so at least the tickets that I bought in 2003 (at 2003 prices) will still be good.
