Help?
Can someone please explain to me how to print out CM cards & mousekeeping envelopes? Do I use index cards? What size envelopes for mousekeeping print-outs? What is a #4 envelope? Which way do I have to position the cards, paper,or envelope? What size/dimension for fonts? How do I make sure it is centered? Any help will be appreciated!!!! I am sssooo clueless!lol!

Whoa, that's lots of questions! Too many for me, I'm afraid.

Here's what I do and maybe someone else can help, too.

I print the CM Appreciation cards on regular copy paper after I've changed the names to ours. (See tagrel's home page for the designs.) Then I cut the cards using the guidelines or a ruler. Once cut, I put them on a sheet of WalMart laminating paper and then cover that one with another. (The cut cards are sandwiched between the two whole clear sheets. Leave room on the sheet between the cards so that you can cut the laminating sheets without unlaminating the cards.)

Once that's done, I'll cut the laminated sheets to make individual cards. My friend twinks taught me to round the corners with a corner cutter from Michael's craft store. Kind of gives it a more finished look, but it's not necessary.

Voila! Beautiful, personalized, sturdy cards that even the children can handle without the worry of dirt, smudges, bends, tears, etc.

As for mousekeeping envelopes, I use unprinted plain envelopes that are 9 and 1/2 by 4 inches. I go to Heidi's page and print my designs from there. She even has seasonal designs.

Both sites, tagrel's for the CM cards and Heidi for the envelopes have these designs and measurements, fonts, wording, all done for you. You just customize the name for the CM cards and print. Easy, easy, easy.

Hope this helps. I understand the frustration of not knowing what to do. Luckily, we're all in this together and are willing to help each other.

Please ask again if I haven't explained it clearly or answered your questions. There are great people here, like yourself, that are eager to help others.

So, when's you trip? :)

Thanks for the tips on the CM cards-I understood that completely!!!
But as for the mousekeeping envelopes, do you print one at a time? How do you get the design centered?

Happy Camper gave LOTS of great advice.

As to the envelopes, I've always had to play with my printer to see exactly how I need to set it up/feed envelopes to get them to print correctly. This can completely depend on the printer.
I'd check the owners manual for instructions on printing envelopes. You can usually select 'envelope' and the size you are using from paper source in printer setup. Again - it depends on the printer drivers installed for your particular printer.

Worst case you could print them on normal paper and rubber cement them to the envelopes!

Hi Minderella:

I have a Print Shop Program that I use every single day. What I have been doing is copying and saving any Disney pics on Tagrel's site and then calling them up when I make up my own CM cards. I print them out on PostCard sized paper and add my own message on the back.

I do the same for envelopes although, like Tagrel, I have to play with them to see that I have the right size. My Dell All-in-One Printer is supposed to determine the size of the envelope itself but that doesn't always work. I use the regular business size envelope.

Good luck.
