View Full Version : having problems
Yoo Hoo
I have logged on and when I type a response (usually in the health and fitness portion) and hit submit or preview, it tells me to log on and then wipes away all I've just typed, then I notice on the top it tells me to logout. This has happened to me more than one time. Is it just me having this problem or have others? Today I retyped my response twice in the health and fitness setion and still I don't think it was accepted. I'm very confused!
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

sounds like your web browser is confused. Which one do you use?
I would logoff the site (use logoff button at the top) and try logging back in. If that doesn't work, then I'd logoff, and reboot your computer and try to log back in again. There can also be problems when another version of your browser did not shut down correctly, and it leaves your computer in a volatile state.
good luck, and let me know how it goes.

Internet Explorer at work, MSN at home
Today I again had the same problem but I've become wise in my old age. Until this is somewhat solved, I read what folks have to say, type what I want to say in word and do copy and paste, that way, I can paste and paste as many times as I need till it accepts my login.
Thanks for your help! SW+7 :girlears:
LOOK AT WHO THE RESPONSE IS FROM!!!!!
It's logged me in as a guest! YIKES!!!!! I'm sure it'll get better soon! If nothing else, I'll just read the posts

I'm having the same problem. I posted in Health formum and got logged off. I'm using Internet Explorer. I will try your suggestions but have not experienced this problem at other sites.

I don't know what to tell you twirler girl, other than I've not seen this problem myself (and I'm on CONSTANTLY!) - but I know that others have. It could be the way IE is setup on your computer, or some other cryptic setting I don't know about. It could be an interaction with 3rd party software that affects cookies, etc. I don't know.
I use Internet Explorer as well, and I never have a problem unless I specifically forget to login. (after having logged out) And I can't debug a problem that I can't recreate.
If it happens again, then just hit the back button, copy your post and then login and then paste it back into a new response. Not Great, but better than typing it all over again!

I tried that, post was gone. I shut down the computer, had chores to do you know before work today. I've posted several items since logging on again without problem. I know that strange things happen on the net. It's just that my experience matched SW + 7's. If it happens again I'll just log out and reboot my computer.

Hmmmm.... :confused2:
Sorry that this happened. If we can figure out a pattern, then I can look into a fix. This - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - makes it tough to track down. I'll do some searching and see what I find.

I do not know if this is related to your problems or not, but I have been having a situation where my cookie disappears wayyyy too often. I was begining to wonder if it expired based on the number of posts I read...
Anyway, could be a red herring, could be a clue for Tagrel.
