Lessons Learned, 08/30/02, Part 3
After I got back in the longest line in the food court to get my dear daughter spaghetti without sauce, things started to look up. I ate the spaghetti with sauce and she ate the spaghetti without sauce. It was nice to visit with my friends from Germany and I began to relax. Elayna finished eating and said Mommy, I ate all my dinner, where is my dessert? I said you have already had SIX desserts today! She looked at me like I was ignorant and indignantly said Mother, those were SNACKS, not DESSERTS! Well, we went back to the food court and decided to split a cookie. After she finished the cookie a motherly looking lady asked the kids if they wanted to hear a story. They have a large lego table set up in the food court and Elayna went to listen to the story. It was her favorite and all was well with the world. Then what happens but after story time they bring cookies and milk. Well, I wasn't paying attention and alas Elayna drinks the milk up happily(She is lactose intolerant and has to have meds before she has dairy product). So have you guessed it? She throws up again. Thank God I had packed yet another change of clothes. I get her all washed up and changed and we head to the piano bar at Port Orleans. A guy named Bob was the piano player and he was absolutely incredible. I finally made a good decision though and did NOT order any drinks. He really got the audience to participate and Elayna had a blast. She joined the other kids when they danced around the room, on stage and Bob even had all the kids stand on their chairs and thump their chests like Tarzan whenever he blew a trumpet. Elayna was SO happy. I was dead tired but didn't want to leave while she was having so much fun. As time went on it got a little rowdier as some people were getting drunk and we had one Elvis impersonator that was awesome. I really think it must have been his profession because he even looked like Elvis. I lose all inhibitions when I drink, so I am VERY glad I just drank water. We finally left about 11:00 and we were in bed asleep by 11:30.

LESSON LEARNED #9 Some of your happiest times might occur in unexpected places. We had a blast at the piano bar and it was FREE!__________________

Oh my goodness, is it really you Susan????

My thick little head just did not realize it was really you. Oh my gosh it is so good to see you.

***Susan was the first person I met from the "clubhouse", her and her wonderful Elayna in WDW.

Darn it is so good to see you around again. I think of you so often.

Yes, Ellen! It's really me. A little older, a little less sane.

It's good to "see" you too.
