We haven't had a DVD for very long, but that giant sucking sound you might have heard is the money flying out of my wallet and into DVD mail orders.

Everything I thought I missed, I can catch up on - at a price. I'm about to hop over to Amazon and buy the first season of Alias , available today on DVD. And then shortly after that, there will be the acquisition of the second season of 24.

If I could wave a magic electronic wand and make any DVD appear, I would order up the entire run of 5 Mile Creek, a lovely series running a few years back on the Disney Channel. It featured a teenage Nicole Kidman and a riveting story set in Australia. For all I know, it might already exist on DVD. Be still my throbbing credit card! 8)

Question for my fellow addicts: What are you buying on DVD and what do you jones for them to put out soon? :D

I'm waiting for all the oldies-especially Brady Bunch-you know, happy family, a mother and a father and kids all lived in the same house, generally got along and respected their parents....odd concept these days!
And if they had the Partridge Family too, maybe I would just ditch the cable!
We are having a run with Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie again here, but we don't have an oldies channel, and the one that does carry some of them, I don't want to pay for all you have to get to get the one channel I would want!
I did see the first season of Little House on the Prairie at Walmart, so maybe there is hope...

When they're finally released as complete sets on DVD, I'll be buying the three best trilogies of all time-- The Matrix trilogy; The Lord of the Rings trilogy; and the Star Wars trilogy.

I can't wait until PoC comes out on DVD--woohoo! Emily never got to see that because Julia is still too young to take to that particular Disney movie. We also really like Freaky Friday, so I'll have to consider purchasing that, lol.

We are trying to replace our worn out Disney VHS collection with DVDs. Up next to buy--the Sleeping 'Booty' (Julia's pronounciation) special edition.

hi Moley,

I'm with Amy on the upgrades of the Disney movies. The dvds often contain some way-cool bonus features, too. For example, on "The Love Bug" dvd, they even include footage from "Love Bug Day" at Disneyland.

For compilation discs of tv series, we're very highbrow: "The Simpsons" and the newly released "Rocky and Bullwinkle" discs are tons of fun. We're happily corrupting our daughter with subversive humor, old and new.

Fun question! 8)
