I know it's only mid-May BUT I thought I'd plant a seed regarding Mousefest 2005.
I think that when you realize that it's only some 28 weeks away it doesn't hurt to at least start tossing around some ideas for meets and activities.
The land portion of Mousefest 2005 is from November 30 to December 3rd and the cruise portion is from December 4th to December 8th....someday I should do a Disney Cruise...who knows, maybe this is the year I give it a shot....but that's another story.
Anyway, some things to keep in mind.
- Potential MVMCP nights are December 1 and 2.
- Mega-Mouse Meet is December 3rd.
I'm just stirring up things here to get those who are going to thinking about some ideas for meets.
I think a Soarin' meet is definitely in order for MF 2005.
Stop! Drop! and Roll! is already a legend in it's own time.
Brunch at the Ball was probably my favorite meet...I didn't have brunch but I sure had a ball.
Dole Whip meets are always fun.
Of course some of us have done Candlelight Processional meets followed by dinner at places like the Biergarten...CP is a favorite of mine.
Doing the Osborne lights together is another good time.
of course it goes without saying that ddoll's idea of Karaoke night at Kimono's will rival the 2003 Night of Infamy at the Adventurer's Club.
So I'm just here to say that before the summer races by and we are listening to Jerry Lewis sing on Labor Day night it might be a good idea to use this thread to toss around some ideas as to what MF 2005 activities may appeal to everyone.

I'm in for Stop Drop and Roll, Brunch at the Ball, and Soarin. Brunch and Soarin' would be good on the day of the MegaMeet, one before and one after.
There has been an official MVMCP night for MouseFest both years, so we should wait to see if there is an official one this year as well before choosing Dec 1 or Dec 2. The Wishes meet that Tagrel and Deb Wills co-hosted in 2004 was a huge success; I hope it will be repeated.
Although I consider kareoke to be a blight on Humanity, I'd be willing to go to Kimonos and sit around listening to others screech and warble.

Brunch at the ball was fantastic and an event I would like to attend again. Anything else is just gravy, baby! I can't wait to see you all there again!

I'm new to Mousefest this year. But from what I read, Wishes and the Rose Garden; and Brunch at the Ball sounded great to me. At this point we're planning to arrive on Dec. 1st but might be in the area visiting relatives on earlier. Do I need to change my plans and arrive Nov. 30th?

Sandy,
That will depend on what you plan to do at Mousefest. It would be nice to see the schedule by Labor Day so we can all plan.

I'm working on the MVMCP night with Deb Wills now. I'm just waiting on confirmation for Thursday Dec, 1st. This was a great meet last year!
I believe that they typically have more MouseFest details posted by July or August. The official MouseFest site: http://www.mousefest.org/ should have all the details when available.
Dates this year:
2005 MouseFest dates are as follows:
Walt Disney World -- November 30 - December 3
MegaMouseMeet -- Saturday, December 3
Disney Cruise -- December 4 - 8
My family plans on being at WDW starting on the afternoon of Thursday, Dec 1st through Monday, Dec 5th. Since I will have the family this year, I won't be able to make quite as many meets as last year, but will get to all that I can! I love the idea of another Stop, Drop and Roll meet, and Brunch at the Ball on MegaMeet day sounds great too! Actually, all the meets sound like fun, but I know I'll have to pick and choose a bit this year. Maddy's Birthday is Dec. 2nd, so we'll be doing lots of fun things for her as well. :)
Looking forward to hearing what everyone would like to do this year!

 EXCUUUUUUSE me???
You're just saying that because you don't get it. Karaoke's fun! But you wait, we'll get you drunk and up there on the stage.
Needless to say, I'm in for planning another Kimono's Meet. I'll have to think of something to spice it up a little bit.

Stop, Drop and Roll, Brunch at the Ball, Soarin, Karaoke(I definetly want to go this year)MVMCP with Wishes, also the holiday gift game was great too!
Also I need to have a Dole Whip with Mike this year!

Ditto Susan...I would love to sit and have a Dole Whip with you and a couple of other ladies who I probably don't have to name erh?
I plan to be there on the 29th so I can wake up in Orlando on the 30th and start Mousefest with a bang.
Of course a new chapter may also be written in the Legend of the Wild Women.

Last time I got drunk in Florida, George Bush the Elder (and wiser) was still President.
Perhaps I will regale you with the tale sometime, but it ain't pretty.

I am new at MF this year too, and I am SO excited!! I will not be able to do a lot of the meets, because we only have 3 and 1/2 days there, and I am going with my sister who has never been there. But I for sure want to do the MVMCP meet, and hope to squeeze in a few more. I can't wait to meet you all!!! Tracy

Tracy,
I would hope that you get a chance to do "Brunch at the Ball" and also come see us at the "Mega-Mouse Meet."

I will be there with bells on!
One of the things ddoll and a few others did last year was get an Illuminations cruise, we should try to get the Taginators together to man a few boats.
I can't wait to participate in the legendary Stop, Drop and Roll and Brunch at the Ball. I will be officially a Taginator this year, instead of a RADP, although I will be going to their meet as well. Hopefully the schedule will work for me to do this.

I'm definitely in for that one as well. I'll be volunteering to host a boat again. (we had the best boat of all, right Lynne?)
I thought the Segway Tour was one of the coolest things I ever did too. I can't wait to do that again. If there's no official meet for that, we're doing it anyway.

Sounds like some good ideas so far for some terrific Mousefest meets. That is very cool that you're doing the MVMCP meet again with Deb Wills.
Unfortunately it's about 90% that I can't go. :( John doesn't have the flexible hours and vacation time that he did before. And we're going for the marathon. It's a bit tougher to get away, but I won't totally rule out a quick weekend. It'd have to be a shared room, budget trip though.
For now I'll live vicariously thru your happy planning. :D :mickeyXmas:
I'm planning on being there from November 30 - December 3rd. I enjoyed the meets last year and want to make as many of them as possible this year.

Mike,
Check out the frightened and dazed look on the face of this poor, unsuspecting male victim who got assigned to the Wild Women boat!

He kept muttering things about getting even with his wife later for booking him there.

I am so looking forward to doing MF with so many of my Disney-net friends. Since this is a solo trip for me my plans are to go with the flow. I'm guessing here, but I'm assuming Stop Drop and Roll has something to do with TOT & RnRC, but what's the Stop for? Whatever it is count me in on TOT & RnRC. Count me in for karaoke at Kimino's too. I'm definately doing the Megameet. Brunch at the Ball sounds like a plan too. If I overextend myself I'll back-off of somethings so don't anyone take offense if I don't make it to something. I'm sure many of us will be exchanging cell numbers prior to then. I've got dawick's, MikeS's, Cruella's, Happycamper's and twinks programmed into my cell right now.

It's very easy to overextend yourself at Mousefest.
That's my plan. :fainting:

Mark, my cell phone number is programed in your cell phone?
I am thinking that almost everyone has my numbers. I think that WDWDen posted them on the bathroom walls during the 1/2 Marathon last January
There is no way that I can do MF and the Marathon. Airfare is over $400.00 right now. Also, it is a tad hard to plan anything right now because we don't know what will be happening with luvsPiglet. I will hopefully know more next week

Hi everyone,
I'm going to be there with bells on! November 30-December 8, 2005 at the Wilderness Lodge; my splurge trip. All the aforementioned meets sound great. I was thinking that a meal meet at Whispering Canyon Cafe would be good, but I understand that the restaurant's fairly small.
Mike is correct that you can easily overextend yourself at MF. I know that last year I certainly did; many evenings after running around all day from meet to shining meet like a headless party chicken, I felt like death hung over. But I had a ball! I can't wait to do it again.
twinks, I for one do not have your number programmed into my cell phone, but I have plenty of room for it. I would love to meet you, Timon, Twirlergirl and all the rest of the gang at Mousefest 2005!

For those who haven't done MF before, as the date approaches, a list of events and their hosts will be posted. People sign up for the events they want to do, you aren't obligated to sign up for 'everything'. Often there are few meets can conflict with other plans you have.
Right now I'm a 'I dunno'. There's a meet with another group of friends in October, MF in December and marathon cheering in January. I'm just not sure what I'll be able to attend, so I may end being a last minute show....hopefully.

Hi,
I cannot wait to party with ddoll and the rest of the Wild Women! I hope I won't look like that poor guy on the right side of the Illuminations boat. He may have had a fight with his wife and she punished him by arranging for him to be with five crazy females. Of course I would consider it not a punishment but an honor to do that Illuminations cruise! heh heh heh

One thing is for sure--if I don't start working some OT this summer, I can forget going anytime! :x
I'd like to do MF, but we'll have to see...

Gosh I'm excited already just reading this post. We arrive for MouseFest Nov. 30th, flights not booked yet so not sure what time, but I imagine it will be early afternoon. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again. My hopes for meets this year are:
MVMCP
Brunch at the Ball
Mega Mouse meet
Illuminations Cruise
Animal Kingdom Safari (Deb Wills)
Dole Whip
Hidden Mickey Hunt (Steve Barrett)
and of course anything else I can fit in :minnie:
