I got a very nice surprise in the mail today that has had me grining all day. My doobell rang this afternoon & I was quite grumbly getting to it as I had already been disturbed once today by an unexpected salesman ringing the bell while I was in the shower. I thought he'd come back when it rang the second time. Fuming I opened the door and no one was there - just a FedEx box. I knew I didn't order anything so I was surprised it was for me. When I opened it, it was a lovely binder from Disneyland filled with all kinds of goodies for my upcoming trip!

Its really cool - clear frosted plastic with Mickey Icon heads all over it in totally clear plastic. The front flap overlaps and fastensin the back so nothing falls out. It has 5 sections in it with each divider being a folder/envelope with goodies in it.

The first section had a welcome letter with another copy of my hotel ressies, park operating hours, tranpsortation info and other general stuff.

The second section had my park tickets and an envelope full of "perks" certificates that come with the package - like priority seating passes for the Aladdin show, a voucher for a free pin & lanyard at DCA, stuff like that, explanation of the unlimited fast pass program, a pocketsize map of the area and other cool stuff.

The third section had a Disney coupon-ish book in it with stuff like 10% of a meal at Goofy's Kitchen, free appetizers at certain Downtown Disney restaturant, a free coke when you buy a popcorn at the AMC theatre in Downtown Disney, percent off coupons at Downtown Disney stores, free kids meals with adult meal puchases, etc. Really cool since we were already planning on eating at some of these places.

The fourth section was another coupon book with discounts etc. for other Southern California restaurants and attractions.

The fifth section had 2 Disneyland luggage tags.

I am just tickled pink at the whole idea of it. I booked through their travel company but am not even staying on property and this is a shoestring budget trip and I got all this cool stuff. In 6 adult trips to WDW ranging from full blown packages to shoe string budget get aways I have never received anything close to this. I am very impressed indeed.

Its definately a Disney day! Only 19 more days of waiting! Yippee!

:tink: That's way cool. I've only been to WDW once & loved it! I was like a little kid, just in awe. Loved it!

I cannot wait until I can go to DL either though. I hear that it's just as nice, but smaller, which is better for me physically. I hope next year we get to go there. :tink:
