I know this has been asked a hundred times - sorry, but since Disney changed the LOS pass to UPH for a discount and no DVC discount for purchase at the Disney store, I'm confused. To get the best deal, I should purchase a 5 day PH at my local Disney store?
I noticed that AAA gets a better price, is there any other discounted tickets out there?

Free my mind from the ticket media haze! Thanks.

That is a really tough question to answer, and I'm trying to figure the same thing out myself. I let you see where I am with my thinking.....

The advantages of the PHP I see are that if you do not use all of your days at the parks or your Plus options, you can save them for another trip. With three Plus options each and six days at the parks, that sounds like a pretty full time to me. The downside is if you decide to do more than three of the Plus activities, you will have to buy an entrance admission.

The plus side of the LOS pass is that you can do everything under the sun while you are there, no limits. The downside is that when your trip is over, so is the pass. So if you have a down day pool-hopping, just sitting around, whatever, you 'lose' that day. I have heard that you can arrange to drop the first or last day of this pass, I have even heard some folks dropped both days, so you don't have quite the hit if you arrive late and/or leave early. But to do this, you have to purchase your tickets at the front desk.

Because of our travel plans, I am looking at getting the PHP tickets with a Disney Club discount. I think that will give us the most flexability for our plans and not have us thinking we have 'lost' anything.

Please remember, this is just my opinion; your mileage may vary.

Im one of the few people who really love and use the unlimited hopper one. I do drop off one day since you generally cant use the first or last anyway (I live a wolrd away in WA state so we generally fly out to early to go the last day)

The reason I love the unlimited one is because it includes Disneyquest (last trip we went there 3 times) It also includes as much water park as you want or can take, unlimited park stuff (I know other tickets do this too)

I think you need to look at your own situation. Will you want to go to more miner things like water parks? Disneyquest? Pleasure Island? How many times? If you dont plan to do the extra stuff in excess then I would think the hopper is best and as they say it never exires so if you have extra days you can use them the next time.

We did use the park hoppers once back in 2000 and we only had two plusses and because we did a water park and pleasure Island on the same day we used up our two plusses in one day.

My last trip (2002) I had the unlimited one and in one day (My birthday) We went to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Disneyquest and Pleasure Island. That was only one day of a whole week. Over the week we went to Disneyquest 3 times, water parks three times and pleasure Island twice (the second time just to pass through to do more shopping on the other side but passing through was so much shorter walk than walking around.) As you see it was a much better value for us that trip to get the unlimited one.

Good luck in getting the right one for you and I know what ever you do its the most magical place you you cant help but have a great time!!

My personal preference has always been to go with park-hoppers instead of UPH passes. The idea of buying a pass that expires or that includes a bunch of stuff I won't use just grates on my nerves. I'm one of those people who never goes to water parks of DisneyQuest, so regular park hoppers or a standard annual pass work for me.

Buying park-hoppers can be done in a variety of ways. You can buy them at the Disney store, or online from the Disney web site, but if you want a real discount (usually about 5% ro so), you need to go to AAA or a legitimate ticket broker. I only know of two ticket brokers: TicketMania (http://www.ticketmania.com/discounttickets.shtml) and Florida Orlando Tickets (http://www.floridaorlandotickets.net/discounted_tickets.html). Both are members of the Better Business Bureau, and lots of folks on the various Disney message board sites have used both of them.
