I have an idea and want to throw it out there for people to comment on.
Seeing as how it's so difficult to get digital photos downloaded to CD or printed at WDW (you can only do it at Jouney Into Your Imagination at Epcot and it costs a fortune), I thought maybe we could start a download network.
Many people have digital cameras, but no laptop or other device to download the pics to, forcing them to keep all thier pictures on smart media or compact flash cards or whatever thier cameras take. This means buying more and more of those expensive cards to keep all the pictures while away from home.
Many of us have laptops, which we can use to download digital photos from cameras and burn them onto CDs.
Many of us meet and greet each other while in WDW, getting together for meals or a snack or an E-night. What if we brought our laptops with us and downloaded some pics for each other onto CDs? If we aranged it ahead of time, the person who has a camera but no laptop could bring a blank CD and thier camera's download cord with them, and the person with the laptop could burn the pics onto CD for them. It would only take a few minutes, cost the laptop person nothing, and cost the camera person a buck or two for blank CD-R disks.
Whatay'all think?
