A few Chat tips:
Targel.com is using FlashChat in the chat room. You need to have at least Shockwave Flash version 7 to operate the chat room. Downloads would be best from the Flash home site: Download Flash (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash) - careful or you get some yahoo toolbar as well!
You do not have to sign into the chat room if you are logged into the site. If you go directly to the chat room, you just log in with your user name and password for the site.
There is one bug in the chat room that will play havoc with your mind if you forget about it. When you change you font size you must exit and re-enter the room to be able to post and read the chat room. Not a big deal but just something that may come up. It looks like the 16 pt font is easy to read and makes the smilies more fun!
You can choose your favorite background and colors - it looks like the brighter colors for text colors seem to work best for most people to read.
When you enter the chat room you see from the time you enter and nothing before. So it may take a minute or two for you to catch up. Don’t worry we are a friendly group and will make sure you feel welcome.
You need to allow pop-up from Tagrel.com
And speaking of popup blockers - I have set my browser to allow popups on tagrel.com for a few reasons:
there will NEVER, EVER be annoying advertising popup screens from this site.
You don't get popups telling you a Private Message is waiting if they are blocked
When you leave Flash Chat, (through the exit or otherwise) it launches a popup to make sure you are logged OUT of Flash Chat. And From WillCAD I post this because this fix could be useful for a lot of problems with the chat software, in cases where "it used to work, but now it doesn't!" The fix is similar to deleting cookies, but it seems that Flash Chat uses chatui.swf to save your preferences instead of a cookie So if you are having problems that don’t fix but didn’t used to be there - this may work the best
Mike was having problems from one computer and not other - here is what he did to fix that. I went into the IE Tools drop down menu and the security settings and made sure that the ActiveX controls were all enabled.
That seemed to do it.
It is fast, it is colorful and a fun place to chat. So chat often, have fun and let’s talk about the Mouse house
