A little confused about what I am reading about soda, pop, Coke or what ever you call that carbonated sweet drink
So it is free at meals? You need to purchase a refill mug? Both? neither?

I think I read somewhere that they stopped giving free refills ALL over the ship, that you have to go to a certain deck to get the free refills now.
But the last time I cruised, last summer, I got all refills all over the ship, at the bars and all eating places. Even in the dining rooms with my meals. Had to have my refill cup with me tho.
I'll find out in May when we cruise again. I usually take my cup with me each time I cruise, so I don't have to purchase another one. I also read that on the 14 day cruise, the cup will be $50. I don't know for sure, but again I'll find out in May. Maybe water will be in line to drink for two weeks, if that is the case. I haven't been drinking coke and soda lately. Lemonade has been my drink of the year. LOL

Hi BetsyAnn,
In 2002 I paid $35 for the mug, It was for soda and Billy could get it filled at the bars, restaurants etc. There was a drink center that had iced tea, lemonade, coffee etc which was on deck 9 and was free. Normally this was a self serve bar but during my trip they had to have a server. If I remember the soda at dinner was free, we did not have to take the mug to dinner.
I have heard that some cruise lines have just started giving free soda and are not charging for the mug but I have not heard that about Disney.

Good News!! Your sweet-like carbonated beverages are now free on Disney ships. They've always been free with meals, but now the Deck 9 beverage station includes a wide variety of the "sweet-stuff" along with the coffee, tea, etc it always had.
The exceptions to the free soda perk are the canned drinks you can get from room service and any soda that you order from a bar. Other than that......
Eat, drink soda, and be merry! :eat:

You are so right!!! I only used the word "soda" because of peer pressure.
Question: What would you like do drink?
Answer: I'll have a coke.
Question: What kind of COKE would you like?
Answer: Oh, I'll have a Sprite, thank you. (said with one's best southern drawal, of course.)

May I jump in and say "I was thinking the same thing"!
Although I live in Boston now, it's Southern genes that keep me going and those childhood days below the Mason-Dixon line
(after all, I am related to Davy Crockett  - What that has to do with the topic, I've no idea....)

LOL order a Coke and they say is Pepsi okay?
The drinks are free at the topsiders "soda station" and at meals. They'll try to sell you a refillable beverage mug on the first day with the logo like at the resorts. They have LITTLE paper cups but no straws available. If you are a BIG drinker take your own cup to save steps back and forth.

Last Aug on the Wonder they were selling off the the mugs with bottle straps for $5 just to get rid of them since they no longer had the refill program. I picked up one for a nice souvenir :-D And, of course, used it for my soda
{hugs}
