I have been doing my research on Disneyland since we plan a day trip in April & found that I will not get to see the castle at all. I know they are redoing it but hoped it would be like Disney World where you can see the work in progress. Nope in Disneyland they have the castle covered with a material looking castle. Bummer!!

I checked DL's site and couldn't find mention of the Castle in the rehab list. Quite a few other attractions though. Bummer. Is there any word on when the 'drapes' are suppose to come down?

I thought the drapes had come down already? I'm going next Friday and will check it out for you.
You might want to check out disneygeek.com if you haven't already. He posts new pictures from around the park afew times a month and is always good about showing the how any rehab areas currently look.

Great Link LisaG! Thanks -- Fingers crossed for you MJ! (now remember the castle at DL is much smaller than at MK! - don't be too disappointed!)
But BA, you forgot to tell her you can walk up into it as you tour Snow White! You can't do that at WDW. And Margaret, be sure to see where Walt's apartment was on Main Street; just to the left of the fire house, second floor the window with the light in it. They leave the light on for Walt still.
Have a great trip.

Lisa thanks for that link. It looks like maybe I will get to see the castle. Maybe not in full glory but it has been so many years since I have been this will really be like the first time for me.
Betsy/Joe explain this walking up in the castle to me.

There is an attraction (kind of) inside the castle -- You get to walk up and through the castle to read the story of Snow White. It is something I enjoy. It is fun to say you did it atleast once but if you run out of time and have to choose between anything else on the list like - alice in wonderland, matterhorn, Indy, storybook canals, Roger Rabbit, the train -all the way around, Splash Mtn, HM - choose those first!!!
Have fun!
What BA said, it's a cute one to do if you have the time. It has been years since I have seen it, it was closed for re-furb when we were there last Oct. It's just fun to have walked through the castle, at least to me.

I think the walk through the Castle has been under rehab for about 5 or 6 years now. I hope its open when we go. Last time I saw that was in 1994
