I was just reading that the price for SSR points will be going up to over $100! Wow!

Has anyone heard anything concrete on this?

I think I read the same thing as you read Suzy! I also read that this increase would be happening on April 1st. (Although I don't THINK it was meant to be an April Fools Joke!)

MAN, I'm glad that I bought back when I did!

This is the first I've heard of it for sure. I do remember some discussions that the SSR points would be increasing as the complex was further built out.
And I'm with you Dave, I'm really glad we bought when we did!

SOOOOOOO unhappy that DH would not buy into DVC back in '94 when we took the first tour on our honeymoon. Can't believe how high the prices have gone up since then. But, we had a choice of DVC or building our new home and we really DID need a place to live 365 days a year. Maybe we can buy up points a little at a time for our "old age".

Has anyone bought a re-sale?

we just took the tour when we were down there And they told us the points were $95 and that they DID NOT see an increase in the near future because it just increased not that long ago the gentaleman told us...

Great news Buffy, thanks for sharing it. That would keep the point price right about where it has been since SSR opened.

Wow! I remember thinking when we bought that I wish I'd have bought years ago. It's been less than two years, and I'm already happy with how this investment in our future vacations is working out for us. SSR does have the added years, which still makes it a good investment for owners there.

Claire, you guys should rent points sometime and stay Sun.-Thurs. in a one bedroom. I know that would sell Ronnie.

That's a great idea. The one-bedrooms are NICE! (Of course, that is why we are staying in a studio for our first DVC trip - we didn't want to get hooked on 1-bedrooms and feel the need to buy MORE points!)
