Anybody else watching this years show? I've actually watched it earlier on than I have any of the other seasons. Who are your favorites? Let's get a thread going we can follow up on after every show.
I am so on the Bo Bice love train right now. I didn't realize how good he was during auditions, but man, he's been awesome the past two weeks. His voice seems effortless, while others seem to be so wary of pushing their voices like they probably can.
The problem I see is that he's not a typical "American Idol type". I think they go into most years looking for an artist to fill a certain genre. Sure, they could back a rock-n-roll artist, but are their typical fans going to want to attend those concerts and buy that music? I really hope he gets enough votes, and that the teeny-boppers don't shun him in favor of a lesser performer. :( I happen to think that Mario is "the chosen one" this year. He'd sell lots of albums to young girls. That's a niche they haven't filled yet, unless you count Clay who didn't actually win.
I haven't formed my opinions as strongly on the girls yet. I am looking forward to seeing what Nadia's got for us tonight though.

Alicia -
I am an Idol addict, but unfortunately my schedule has prevented me from watching very much! And this three night a week thing is also difficult, especially when you don't feel like taping (and watching tapes all weekend!) I will agree about Bo, but I also love Constantine and feel like maybe he could be the heartthrobby type. Still not quite sure about the girls. I like Carrie Underwood, but one of the women at work also likes Nadia. I won't be watching again tonight, but I'll tune in her tomorrow to find out what everyone else thought.

I'mwatching it too... but don't know the names yet b/c i didn't start watching soon enough. I did see last night tho... is this BoBo guy the last one with the long hair? Actually i think many are reallly good. so much so that they need to go for someone with some showmanship. Rubin may have a good voice, but he so can not hold an audience for a solo concert. However I loved Clay.. the runner up. Fantasia last year reallyannoyed me with so many of her comment.s

Another Idol watcher here..but I don't know any names yet. I'm impressed at how well you know them all already! Will be interesting to see who the actual 12 will be - it is 12, right?
The first one I ever watched, nearly from day one right to the end, was Clay and Ruben - I even voted for Clay to win :)
Unless something esle really great is on (or I'm away) I should be to see almost all the shows this year.
Anyone know the finale date? I'd better not be visiting Mickey then!!

Sharon, Bo was the last guy to perform last night. He rocked it out! Great, strong voice and he seems so real. Know what I mean?
Lynne, I like Constantine too. There just seemed to be a huge difference in the strength of their voices last night. Constantine seemed to screech a few times. I totally agree that he's got the stage presence going on. That's why I thought he'd out-perform Bo, but man was I proved wrong. I didn't see it in the auditions, but Bo's got the stage presence too.
Christine, isn't that awful when you have to miss a finale?!! I missed an episode of The Amazing Race while at Mousefest. Moley and I were glued to the TV once we realized we'd made it back in time to catch the last few minutes. :tv: BTW, Amazing Race starts back tonight! We'll have to get a thread going on that one too.

I was disappointed with Nadia's song choice tonight. :( I really do think she's got that star quality, but I guess we'll see. They were all a'ight as Randy says. Janay was the only one who I thought was just awful. I feel sorry for her, but I think she's just too young to handle the pressure.

Anyone want to predict who goes tonight?
I think David for the guys, not sure of the second one - maybe Scott.
For the girls I think Janay and Jessica. Though I thought Janay would go last week. I didn't even register there was a Jessica in the contest til night.
My early favorites are Bo, Constantine, Carrie and Nadia.

:wuv: :wuv: :wuv: :wuv:
Dh and I like BoBice - he's got the name too! He was awsome this week.
I also like the blonde country western singer. The way I figure it, a guy is due to win this year.
lst year - white female, 2nd year - black male, 3rd year - black female ...........so, this year should be a white male.
What do you think of the way they tell them they are leaving? Last week was just horrible to watch. And this week, what's with Simon being so nice to them? Can't get used to that!!

Anybody else catch the show the past two days? Or are y'all all watching reruns of Pirates of the Caribbean?  Get me a ticket for the bus! :yahoo:
I still loved Bo last night. Like him singing a bit more rocking of a song, but he was still good. Anthony stepped it up, I thought. Loved Nikko too. Anwar was really good. I like his braids pulled back like that. Constantine has the camera posing down pat, but I thought he was really bad on that song last night. I be alright with seeing Travis and Scott go. Travis is adorable, but he stunk last night IMO.
As far as the girls... Nadia rocks! Love her! Shame on you, Simon for making fun of the hat and boots Vonzell's dad bought her. I thought it was sweet that she wore them. Janay needs to go. She's just not on this level. I've liked Mikalah, but wouldn't be surprised if she went tonight. Her song was horrid. I think it'll be one that the judges realize after watching it on TV how bad it was. Amanda leaving wouldn't surprise me either.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow. :)

Alicia -
I didn't see a lot of what the guys did on Monday night, but caught Anwar and that is enough! He was incredible. Last night, the girls were okay, except on the good side, Nadia and Jessica were fantastic (Nadia especially, I can see her as the next American Idol) and, on the bad side, Micheala and Janay were horrible, horrible, horrible. Michaela needs to go, and Janay should go with her - Just for being so boring on stage! Carrie Underwood disappointed last night too - I thought she was outstanding in other weeks. I'll be watching the results show tonight - for the guys, I wouldn't be surprised if Anthony Federov goes, and Scott - while he is adequate, he is not Idol material, but of course I said that about Ruben.

For those of you who have not heard the latest Idol news:
MARIO IS GONE!
He decided that, since he is going to win anyway, he just didn't want to be locked in to the long term Idol contract! WHAT!!! Hello darling - you are not a shoe-in and you are a nobody so far. Is being a free-agent nobody better than being a somebody with a long term contract?? Zero times zero is still zero.....
Anyway, enough editorializing - Mario is being replaced by Nikko Smith. At least that's good news! It will be an interesting show tomorrow!

Here's an update that just came over my news reader:
Mario Vazquez Drops Out of 'American Idol'
Mar 14, 10:14 AM (ET)
LOS ANGELES (AP) - "American Idol" finalist Mario Vazquez, citing "personal issues," withdrew from the talent competition Sunday, and producers of the Fox show called in the son of a baseball Hall of Famer as backup.
Fox bumped Nikko Smith, the son of baseball great Ozzie Smith, into Vazquez's spot because Smith got more votes than Travis Tucker when both were voted off Wednesday, the network said.
Now, viewers of the No. 1-rated series will get a chance to reconsider their votes as Smith and the other 11 finalists perform Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST. The show airs live to the East Coast and is tape-delayed on the West Coast.
Vazquez, 27, had been picked by many fans and three fellow finalists as a favorite to win the competition.
He told TV Guide's Web site that he dropped out to "take care of some personal issues with my family in New York. And with 'Idol' being a live show, it just wouldn't have worked out schedule-wise."
Vazquez said his departure had nothing to do with Fox or the show itself.
"It's just a personal family thing," he told the Web site. "My family is my top priority."
Smith, 22, of St. Louis, said in an interview before Sunday's announcement that he wasn't surprised to have been voted off.
"I wasn't as disappointed as people thought I would be because I've made it so far," he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I'm happy to get all that exposure. Millions and millions of people watch the show, and hopefully somebody saw me and liked what they saw."
Following Fox's announcement, a relative of Smith told the Post-Dispatch the family had been asked not to speak about his callback. Smith was not available for comment.
Vazquez is not the first to leave "Idol" unexpectedly, though few have done so willingly. Last year, George Huff was called back to Los Angeles when contestant Donnie Williams was cited for DUI. And in 2003, three contestants were dropped by Fox, two for failing to disclose arrest records and another for posing on an adult-oriented Web site.
So maybe there were some odd personal issues that the press and Idol people might uncover on him and he got out before they got the chance.

Lynne, I too wondered if there was something he didn't want exposed. I wish him the best. He was a wonderful gift and I hope he can do well with it in the future.

Last night's show...
Nadia! Bo! Vonzell! Scott! Talk about stacking the middle of your lineup. :D
Everybody else? Meh! Anwar disappointed. Constantine was better than he has been, but he's just to smarmy for my liking. Mikalah's voice has sounded terrible the last two shows. And boy what a difference makeup application can make. She didn't look anything like her normal self. Nikko did OK considering he only had a day or so to prepare. Carrie has a good voice, but has been a bit boring the past few shows IMO. Who else was there? Must not have been memorable enough for me to remember.

As far as I'm concerned - they could get rid of Lindsay, Mikelah and Nikko and no one would even notice. IMHO, not one of them sounded like they belonged there. Then there were the "OK" group - Anwar(hope he recovers - I love him), Carrie, Vonzell, Jessica, Anthony, Constantine, and then there were the superior group - Nadia, Bo and Scott (last night although he normally does not do it for me)!!
Final 3 - Bo, Nadia and Anwar.
lynner5996
03-16-2005, 02:28 PM
Once again I am total agreement with Alicia - Michela, yuck, I hope she goes tonight. The makeup was put on with a trowel and the clothes - I don't care that she's only 16, NO ONE's belly should be exposed that much!!!!!!!!!!!
I am now on the Bo Bandwagon - he was spectacular last night! The look on Simon's face was priceless after he got done performing. Kind of like a bemusement or something, like he was awe-struck - WHICH HE SHOULD BE!!!!
Nadia looked absolutely beautiful last night and I thought she sang very, very well. Vonzel seemed to be over-directed almost. Pretty, and a good voice, but not quite lighting a fire with me. Carrie and Anwar were the disappointments of the night - I had taped the show and fast-forwarded through most of Anwar's song I was so disappointed. The rest of the pack is in the middle, with the exception of Scott - he was very good last night but cheezy - singing to Paula has been done to death on that show! He's moved up slightly on my list, but still not ahead of some. The one I still can't quite make up my mind about is Jessica - I think she is really good and does seem to have some stage presence, but there's something about her that just doesn't quite draw me in - scrunched up face perhaps??
Voting tonight - will it conflict with Survivor???? Oh My!

I'm still sticking with Bo, Carrie and the other bigger blonde as the final three. The blondes have such strong voices and well, Bo, is Bo. I like Constantine but his voice is just not as strong as Bo.

I was shocked that Nadia was in the bottom 2 - I think she has a huge following, from what I've read. I think that will be a wakeup call to her and you will see her bring it up a notch!!!
lynner5996
03-25-2005, 09:15 AM
Yeah!!!!! Mikeleh is finally gone. IMO she shouldn't have gotten as far as she did - too young, too Streisand-like. I am not surprised that Nadia was also in the top two, she certainly did not shine this week as she has previously, and I thought the hair was way, way over the top and distracted from her performance.
I did not see the results show last night because I was so crabby about Mikeleh still being on there and didn't want to see her in the bottom and then still survive - how sad is that? Please let me know who the bottom two boys were - Scott Savol and Anthony Federov, perhaps?? Thanks.
Moley
03-25-2005, 09:20 AM
I didn't get to see the results show. I'm not surprised Nadia was in the bottom two because she took a risk with her look the other night. That mohawk was so distracting, just like Lynne said. Even though it was Cyndy Lauper-like, it didn't work on Nadia. I think people would remember the hair over the song and not be so enthusiastic about calling in a vote.
BaciBecky
03-25-2005, 10:01 AM
I agree about Nadia's hair - it was so distracting that her performance did not seem as good. Cam close for Anthony, but as the weeks go on he is not as consistant, although he does have a good voice and personality.
Also thought it was time for Michela to go...remember last yr when the same ones were in the bottom 3 every week (until voted off) and and yet Diana came in runner up in the end??? Amazing!
I like Bo too - and Constantine - but he is missing something that Bo has solid - cannot name what it is though!
Cinderella
03-25-2005, 03:18 PM
There was only one boy in the lowest three and that was Anthony. The girls were Nadia and Michela. Only lowest three each week now.
Bo is just "Bo" - he has a special charm (and I'm not a fan of long hair on guys but I'll overlook that for Bo). Constantine is cute but just doesn't have what Bo has.
Anthony is okay but I don't think he's strong enough - he has a good voice but not different or distinct like the others.
I think Scott is fine but I just don't think he's going to be in the top three.
I don't like Nikko. The fans voted him out once so he couldn't have had that big a following. I think he's too much show business and not enough of a strong voice - no matter how much he flirts with Paula.
I love the voices on Carrie and Jessica.
I loved Anwar in the beginning but he seems to be loosing whatever he had. He seems to sing so softly now and I can hardly hear him. Maybe he'll pick up again.
Vonzell is just okay - I don't think her voice is outstanding- she just moves a lot around the stage and smiles.
According to my very scientific calculations, this year's winner HAS to be a white male. (lst year, white female, second year black male, third year, black female). So, if my calculations are correct, Bo is the man. If not, Carrie is the girl. But, hey, what do I know???

I agree with most of what has been said. Carrie was in the lead for me, but Bo came up too strong and, sigh, mmmm what can I say HE IS AWESOME! His performances are so professional and polished and it would be great to see a "rocker" become the AI. Carrie has an extremely strong voice (blew me away with "Alone"), but she does need to learn to move around a little more. I am very pleased how strong the contestants came out last week. It made for a very entertaining show.

I am happy too that Mikelah is gone. She was annoying me to no end. Nadia's mohawk was distracting, actually it was more intersting than her singing that night. I really like Bo & Constantine. But if I had to pick, I'd say Bo. He's one of the most relaxed, at home people I've ever seen on a stage. I hope he makes the top 3.
AliciaG
03-29-2005, 11:48 PM
Bo is just awesome! What a steady, strong voice, and such great showmanship. :D
Carrie did great tonight too. Very nice voice!
Nadia is a good performer. Last week showed me that her voice has limited range though. I thought the song she chose this week was good for her.
I'm off the Anwar love train. I don't like the type of songs he sings, and I agree 100% with what Randy said tonight. He's pitchy and weak throughout, but always pulls it out with a glory note at the end.
Vonzell is climbing every week. She really just keeps getting better and better. That girl is beautiful too!
I've finally figured out what it is that I don't like about Constantine. The guy is making bedroom eyes all throughout his songs. It might really be his way, but it feels like an act to make him seem sexy. I'm not falling for the smarm. :?
Nikko was good tonight. Have y'all noticed that Paula is totally infatuated with him? She's always on her feet while he's performing.
The rest were unremarkable to me tonight. Scott's voice sounded really off on his song.
JustZac
03-30-2005, 03:16 AM
Carrie made me tingle tonight, she was spot-on. Vonzell is doing so much better! Jessica was really good in my opinion. By I really liked Nadia's rendition, it really worked for me.
Oy, I so am enjoying this season!

Thought it was going to be an easy decision this year but now it's getting harder to decide.
I still like Bo but didn't think that song showed off his voice at all last night.
I enjoyed Constantine better then I have so far - at least with a slower song you can tell IF they have a voice at all. I don't mind the "bedroom eyes" thing at all!!
Carrie is still my pick for winner - her voice is just sooo strong and she is so pretty too!
I just don't see the fuss about Nikko. I think he's run of the mill and his voice has nothing special about it. Paula goes way overboard when he's singing.
Scott - sorry but he bombed last night.
Anwar is on his way out I'm afraid. It's not that he doesn't have a nice voice but he's so quiet and unexciting at the beginning of the song that those big notes at the end can't save him.
Anthony - didn't do anything for me this week.
I'm just not that crazy about Vonzell (really pretty) or Nadia. I think they sing good but aren't too different or outstanding.
Jessica has a very strong voice as well but I prefer Carrie over her.
I think tonight that Scott/Anwar and Anthony will be in the bottom three.

I agree with everyone's assessment so far - I believe Scott will go. I couldn't believe that, with all the good songs from the 90's, Anthony picked an obscure Elton John song and then turned it into a Broadway production number. Carrie appears to be the one to beat and she has Simon totally convinced. There's something about Constantine's mannerisms that gives me the skeevies...he's just too Tiger Beat for me. Sad to see that Anwar is struggling - he needs to take some of the things he's learned as a music teacher and make them work for him. Nadia's performance last night showed me that she's not Idol material, either.
It will be an interesting show tonight!

My final three are Carrie, Bo and Jessica.
I would like to see Nikko go tonight, there's just something about him that I don't like.
I am sure it will be one of the guys to go tonight, maybe it'll be Scott, he just looks like he wants to stab someone to death every time I see him. The eyes are scary.
Constantine does milk his camera time and plays to the teenie-set, he may as well go for it, so far it seem to be working. Bo will finish ahead of him in the end though.
I must admit that I don't value Paula's opinion any longer. Simon and Randy seem to be living in the real world.
I am delighted that annoying Mikalah is gone.

Okay, all I have to say (IMHO), is this week's results are just plain WRONG. I am sadly disappointed, as it just wasn't Jessica's time yet. There were others that should have been gone first. I didn't think she was top 5 material, but she should have been there longer.
Please, no repeats of last year's shenangigans. It lead me not to watch the finals. I don't want to see that happen again this year.

The way Anthony, Scott and Anwar have been singing? Something smells fishy in Denmark!!!
I was absolutely sure that it had to be Scott, if not Anthony or Anwar.
BAD CHOICE!!! Now, if Carrie or Bo should go - LETTERS WILL BE WRITTEN TO THE PRODUCERS!!!!
We still don't know if the show is "fixed" do we? How do we know who makes the phone calls for each of the finalists? And..........do Simon's comments have that much weight in who people call in for? (Like his comment Tuesday night about Jessica not having the "likable" factor?).

For as harsh as Simon is, what he says has much validity. Jessica was very talented but she didn't project that connection with the audience a true Idol needs. People are voting for someone and it may take that extra 'likeability' as Simon calls it to motivate large numbers of people to keep voting for one person again and again.
I suspect there are huge numbers for a very few and the remaining get erratic numbers toward the bottom. It may be Jessica's going was just a fluke in comparison to Anwar, Scott, Anthony, Nadia. It could be Scott and Anthony got a fairly good number of anti-Simon votes. I wondered if Jessica would benefit from that anti-Simon factor, too, but it didn't seem to work in her favor.

Ain't it the truth! I'm so surprised Scott in still there...but I was not all that surprised about Nadia - for some reason she almost always annoys me.
But BO!! That had to be a shocker for everyone!!!!
Nadia, me thinks, did herself in with her unique style and song choices - I don't think most of the folks voting want anyone quite that unique....but then again, Ruben won! Although I applaud her for being herself!
I haven't voted this year, but the numbers have always been toll free in the past and other 866 #'s are toll free :)

Can you believe last night's show??? When they said they'd be lots of surprises, the first thing I said to DH was that it BETTER NOT be Bo or Carrie in the bottom three. I couldn't believe it.
I was positive that Scott, Anthony and Anwar were going to be out long ago no matter how much better they've been trying. I was not crazy about Nadia so I did expect her to go soon but not before Scott!!
Oh my, now I have no clue who the Idol fans will vote in this year as the winner!!!!!
 :o  :o

Well last night just demonstrated to me that I need to watch the show live and then vote, rather than taping it and going to the gym!! Seriously, I was really unhappy to see Bo in the bottom three. While I probably won't change my routine and sit through the thing rather than going to exercise (besides, then you can fast forward through all the commercials and happy talk with Ryan), I will probably stop watching the show altogether if Bo gets voted off before the final 3.

Why is Scott still on the show? He has zero stage presence and an occasionally pleasant voice.

Scott must have friends in high places. How could they POSSIBLY still have him around??? Anwar was starting to get better. Scott and Anthony HAVE to be going soon.
How do we know how many votes are being cast by every day people and not people from the show??
Can't do anything but wait for next week to see what other mistakes the voters make.

My music teacher niece in New Jersey, did summer stock a couple of years ago with Constantine. They did West Side story. She has a tape of the show and swears if he wins it, she'll put it on E-Bay and make a fortune. I think she's beginning to smell green. Go Constantine :singer:

I love Bo and his $6 sunglasses! I thought he, Vonzell, and Anthony <---- were the best tonight.
I thought Randy was dead on about Constantine's performance tonight. Not his best. Scott was awful. And y'all don't kill me, but I don't like Carrie. She seems like a droid to me. :letsgo: I thought she sounded awful tonight. Especially considering she was in her element with a country song she knew.
Go Bo!
You wanna see a real cute, blonde, country singer?! Watch the Today show Thursday to see your new Nashville Star Erika Jo perform. That's how you do it, Carrie! :P
Congrats, Erika Jo! Believe it or not, she's still in high school. The one less than a mile away as a matter of fact. Gotta support the home girl!

Carrie had a serious virus and did well considering. Her line was easy to get throught to though so she could be in trouble.

Okay, Carrie was a little weak last night. I thought Constantine should have picked a song that shows off his voice more. Still gotta love those eyes!!! BO rocked! I really enjoyed the song Bo did the week he sang a ballard. Anthony was not bad last night. Vonzell is pretty but I just think she hasn't got anything new to bring to the music world. Scott??????? If Scott does NOT get voted out this week, then something is REALLY rotten in Denmark!!!!!!

Didn't realize Carrie was sick. I've been reading for 3-4 weeks that she has a bad cold. Someone get her some Airborne. Seriously, though she did well to get up there and perform if she was ill. The girl just seems vacuous. Does Airborne cure that? :letsgo:

Hey, you guys, I missed the show last night! Claire and I finished chatting just in time, but our Amy called a few minutes later.
I did see the end of Scott's song and the recap - Constantine did not seem as strong, did not see enough of Bo to know, but you all assured me he was great. It would be fabulous if a "rocker" won. The show has really catered to solo kind of Pop, but Bo has the makins' of a STAR!!
Sorry I missed Carrie - I like her, although sometimes her face seems the same every week - does that make sense? :?
Hope I see the outcome tonight...think we agree it's best wishes, Scott. Although, it's almost always a surprise!!! :yikes:

I missed Carrie's performance. Bo is a rocker. I can't imagine this guy doing anything else for a living. I voted for him 4 times. Vonzell was good but I think Simon said it best. That she sounded better in the venue than she really was. Anthony did real well. I voted 2x for him because I'd rather he have more votes than Scott. Constantine - I'm bored with him always looking into the camera. they kept switching angles on him, maybe to get some normal shots. That performance didn't do him any good. Scott go home.

That is just so totally wrong! I'm not a huge fan, but he was entertaining, and gutsy. I certainly expected the snark value of having him around a while longer.
No, just no! How does he keep sticking around! :x

Who would not rather look at and listen to Constantine then Scott? And Scott's voice last night was terrible. He can't hit the high notes at all and he looks a little sloppy in his dress. Cannot believe we can't get rid of Scott.
My prediction is that they are somehow keeping Scott there until the final two so that the real Idol winner will look and sound SOOO much better then Scott!!!!

I know it's a popularity contest, but the premise is singing, Scott voters.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I can't believe Constantine was voted out this week. I was totally shocked that it was not Scott. I really feel that it will be Bo and Carrie in the final two. I just never thought that Constantine would go before Scott. What are people thinking??? That was a shocker.     :x :x :x Constantine really should have picked a different song last night but I still think that he did a better job than Scott. Ok I am off my box.

I just shook my head at the result. Constantine gone before Scott?! Who is voting for this guy? I don't know of anyone who likes him all that much. It must be an anti-Simon vote. Simon, please shut up a teensy until Scott is gone. Thank you.

I am just sick that Constantine went tonight, as I'm sure my niece is upset, also. She could have made a lot of $$$ from her tape of him. This is just sick. I bet every over-weight person voted for Scott (other than myself  . I can't even sleep, so came out to see if everyone else felt the same way I do. :( Figgy

Pathetic or not it gave me one of the great laughs I needed this morning!!!!
Last night I got to the TV for the last couple of minutes - literally rushed in, changed the channel and nearly dropped when I saw Constantine!! Did you see the look on his face when Ryan told him he was going home??? He must have been as shocked as we were!!!
I'm fat too and have no sympathy votes for Scott. Does he ever smile at the audience? Does he ever look joyful or as if he's having fun - other than after he finishes praying and is told to return to his seat?
Who was the third lowest last night? When I got there it was only Anthony and Constantine.
Go figure...hey, I can never figure out Americans when it comes to voting anyway!!!!
Next Tuesday I'll be watching from my room at POR!!!
AliciaG

Vonzell and Anthony were the other two lowest vote getters, Christine.
Ryan called down Vonzell first for one side of the stage. Next he called down Carrie for the other side. He had Anthony join Vonzell, and then Bo join Carrie. After the break he called Scott and Constantine down and pulled that crap of telling them to go stand where they thought they were. After a little reluctance and audience booing, Constantine joined Bo and Carrie. Scott did as well. Then Ryan told Constantine he was in the wrong group. Can you believe Scott was in the top 3?!!! EVERYONE was shocked. Vonzell was sent back to the couch of safety first, and then Constantine was eliminated.
NOBODY could believe it. They were all standing around with their mouths open, except for Scott who had this evil relieved grin on his face. Paula cried and consoled Constantine's mom. Constantine went out in style though, and put on a heck of a last song. Glad they let him do the whole thing without cutting it off.
I think last night's results are what happens when voters start playing mind games with themselves. A I'll throw my votes to so and so, because so and so might go, but so and so is safe kinda thing. :(
edited to add an "a" to Paula. As far as I know she's not a man named Paul.

Why oh why do they pull that stunt of asking them to join the group they think they'll be in? It's so obnoxious! And it does not help when they choose thw wrong froup - they must be kind of humiliated on top of losing!!
Constantine was not a fav of mine, but I am shocked he went this soon. I thought he'd be in the top 3 or maybe 4. If Scott is in the top 3 I'm going to hit redail for the two hours!!! :x

I just surfed over to see what others were saying about the show. Constantine picked a really bad song, and performed it poorly. Up to this point he did very well. Too bad most people vote on the last impression.
As for Scott...yeah I am overweight too, plus a guy, and Scott makes me sick. Plus the fact that he smacked his child's mother around I think is unforgivable. He should not have received another vote after this came out. He has picked two simple songs the past two weeks and performed them well. I hope he goes soon. However, the longer he stays the better recording contract he will receive. Unfortunately, I don't think he diserves a contract at all.

Oh that's scary. I looked athe votefortheworst site and they're taking credit for Scott staying on the show. I guess they're trying to teach someone a lesson but it's not faie to ruin things for the contestants.

Yes, one of the reasons I logged on tonight was to share the news about the votefortheworst sight. There are also many other blog sites that are urging people to do the same. Apparently, there are some people out there who think it is totally hilarious to make the show into a travesty (you know, it isn't exactly great theater, but they really are trying to showcase the best of the best!) by having the worst singer become the next American Idol. It's really a shame if this is what is happening. Also, next Thursday night, Prime Time Live (is that the name of the 60 minutes type show on ABC?) is running an entire hour "exposing" American Idol and their practices. Ah well, it is sweeps month.
I wanted Scott to go, but I'm okay that Constantine was chosen. As long as my man Bo is still standing, I guess I don't care what order the others leave. Constantine was just too.....David Cassidy for me. Another reason to love reality TV!

Wow, didn't he sing one of his songs?
I was hoping a rocker would win, but I think Vonzell is the best, and performs the most difficult songs.

I tried for two hours and got through once to vote for Bo.
