HH Room Request

We are heading to HH on August 3 and put our room (building) request in when we made the reservation. We specified one of 2 buildings (smoking, 1st floor, even tho you have to climb some stairs to get to the 1st floor). Just wondered if anyone has ever faxed or called the room assigner, and if they even have one there due to small size. We don't want to be in the Lodge this time because it is too far for my husband to walk (knee problems) to get to the resort pool. My grandson is going to be there, and we would like to be near the pool since he has become a little fish (4 years old) and will spend much time in the water. Any suggestions to improve getting the building of our choice?

Jean, while we have never specifically faxed the room assignor at the DVC resorts, I have heard that medical requests and considerations get first priority. I would give MS a call and let them know the medical nature of your needs and let them work the issue. From everything I have heard, they will move heaven and earth to make sure you are accomodated.
