Some notes that I took on this trip:

*We were disappointed in the Contemporary. I think it's because we're spoiled by the DVC resorts. The rooms were very large, but when we walked into the South wing, it smelled like a hospital to me. Travel time to everywhere but MK from here took a really long time as well.

*The neighbors above us didn't help. I think I put in my report about the jumping--we think it was probably a family with connecting rooms and the kids were above us. When I'm staying at a deluxe resort, I don't expect the ceiling fan in my room to be shaking(when it isn't even on) from the commotion above. The front desk didn't help any in this matter, and it went on for several nights--we lost a lot of sleep in it--and I usually don't have any problems sleeping in WDW--I'm always worn out!

*Also, our room wasn't cleaned one day. This was the day we went to the Daytona race. We had called down that morning to request batteries for the remote, and not only did we not get batteries, our room wasn't cleaned! Maybe it got confused, who knows!

*So, while we probably wouldn't return to the Contemporary, we still enjoyed our stay(while it may not sound like it, but those were minor problems)

* I LOVE the cheesecake they serve here! It's the same at Chef Mickey's as it is in the Food "n Fun Center and it's great!

*Food has really impressed me this trip. Maybe we made better choices(thanks to boards like these), but I think the food has really improved at WDW. I don't care to pay a little as long as the quality is good.

*Smoking was more prominent to me this time than it was in October. I don't know why, but I saw a LOT more people openly smoking throughout the parks, and in October people seemed to be more confined to the "smoking areas". I found this odd because I had just read that something new had been passed about smoking right before we left, and it seemed that WDW had actually let up on their control of it.

*We really enjoyed OKW. This would be a great place for a family reunion. It was so nice and laid back, like it's own community. Everyone was very friendly and the cast reminded me of the cast from the Poly--very personable. We can see the draws of all the DVC resorts--for all the different reasons!!

*We had a great trip, and I can't wait to plan the next one!!! But I have to diet until then!

Have a great day~

I really enjoyed your report, you did a super job. Ben sounds like a great little guy, what a fun age. It's nice to have this record of his Disney vacation.
