Free graphic software

A few folks commented they didn't have any graphic editing software when looking to resize photos. After a little searching I found VCW VicMan's Photo Editor. It's a free lite version of their full product, (which if it's as good as the reviews say...is very reasonably priced.)

A word of advice for those reducing images. ALWAYS convert the image to the highest color settng for the best results. (i.e. if its a 256 color GIF image, increase the color depth to the highest level before resizing). This typically gives a MUCH better resulting image. You can convert the image BACK to a 256 color GIF image after you resize it.

I've never used the software Robin had kindly linked... So I won't be able to answer questions about it... Hopefully someone will have some experience with it! :)
