Day Nine:
Got up--trying for EE at MK this morning--we just miss the first bus, and the next one doesn't come for 15 more minutes. We get to MK around 8:40. Got FP to Buzz, went and rode Cinderella's Carousel
rode Peter Pan, Snow White, tried Dumbo but it was too crowded(MK was VERY crowded this morning, from the time we got here!). Ben was disappointed about Dumbo, but he had already rode it a few times this trip, so we go off in search of breakfast. Sleepy Hollow was serving a limited menu, so Brent and Ben had bagels & chocolate milk, I had a blueberry muffin and a diet coke). Then over to Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride, then Swiss Family Robinson. Then we did Pirates of the Caribbean, got a FP for Jungle Cruise, then did Buzz. Then we headed over to Carousel of Progress(this was another first for us all and we really enjoyed it). We headed over and got a FP for Pooh, and caught some of the show in front of the castle
then since we were all hot and sweaty we stopped for a lemonade break. We headed back to use our FP for Jungle Cruise and ran into Timon,
Jasmine, Aladdin, and Genie
After a quick pic and autograph, on to Jungle Cruise. The CM's seemed a little confused with the FP system here-it was the longest wait we had with a FP--about 10 minutes, so not bad, but it could have been longer had another CM not stepped in and straightened the one running the line out! After Jungle Cruise, we had a little time on our hands before our Pooh FP and our tummies were getting a little rumbly, so we decided to try Liberty Tree Tavern. It was excellent(and I hate to even say it, but yes, we all had cheeseburgers--this must be why I don't eat cheeseburgers at home, lol) and this was the only place that offered sweetened tea! I'm a southern gal, and like my tea brewed(not the kind from a fountain, yuck!) and sweet, but not many places in WDW offer it sweet! After lunch we rode Pooh and then left the park(which again, we just missed the bus--not a good bus day for us!)
Then, my wonderful husband sent me off to do my favorite thing...shop at DD! He kept Ben in the room to nap and I had a great time shopping. As I returned they were going swimming so I joined them. We came back to the room, changed and we headed back over to the Boardwalk for the walkup window at Spoodles(cheese pizza for Ben, breadsticks and meatball sandwich for Brent and cheese calzone for me). We rented a surrey bike and rode around the Boardwalk/BC/YC area and then headed to Downtown Disney where we bought the PS2 game Kingdom Hearts and sundaes at Ghirardelli's(had to get one more dessert in before we left!) then back to the room for packing and bed.
