Day Eight:
Started out the day sleeping til around 9--laid around a little while, watching tv, Brent and I had rice Krispie treats for breakfast, ben had a pop-tart(not much healthier, but they are fortified, right?LOL). Around 11 we decided to move our lazy butts down to the pool.
Brent headed off around noon to get ready and go see Pirates of the Caribbean(which he later reported was very good and sold out!). Ben and I played in the sand for a while, did some laundry while we swam for a while(this was really nice--the laundry is right by the pool).
Then we grabbed lunch from Good's Food to Go(guess what we ate?LOL--cheeseburger and fries which we split and we got a lemonade in a really cute Nemo refillable cup).
We got the laundry out, went into Community Hall--this place was really neat...had Foosball, Ping-Pong, Tonka trucks, coloring tables, checkers tables, computers with games, and video rentals. Ben picked out a few movies. Unfortunately-I realized when we got back to the room we didn't have a VCR! We were in a studio! Oh well, it's not a trip if I don't do something silly! In 2000 I was trying very hard to get into our rental car at the BIG McDonalds when Brent came running out saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING--THAT"S NOT OUR CAR!!!LOL!
It is naptime now so we headed back to the room. Ben napped, I took a shower and got ready for whatever tonight would hold. Brent got in around 4:30, and after Ben woke up we drove down to the Beach Club, parked, and walked around there and the Boardwalk. We eat in Spoodles(very good--Brent and I got flatbread pizzas, shrimp tapas and Ben got the Mickey pasta--$40). We stop in the bakery for--what else?--rice krispie treats, blue cotton candy for Ben(he'd never had it and actually didn't like it), and one of those cashew turtle candies.
We walked through EPCOT, stopping to catch a little of Off Kilter and walked on around to ride Spaceship Earth, or, as Ben calls it "The Ball". Lots of things were closed, so we walked back around and drive back to OKW. Walk back to the Hospitality House to take back the movies(feeling very silly the whole time) then come back to the room to eat our treats, relax, read(The Da Vinci Code for Brent, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for me), relax, and Ben played with a space station set and his star wars set and then we all watched a bit of Big Brother(CBS) and off to bed!
