What kinds of meets are your favorites?

Do you like a meal get together, time to talk over a nice dinner?

Or do you prefer a wild and wooly attractions meet, where you ride, ride, ride as a group?

Or is there another activity which strikes your fancy when you meet up with friends? :hottub: Not that I'm suggesting, just asking. :jester:

I like the ride meets, but meal meets are my favorite. I also had a great time at the Wilderness Lodge meet and the Wishes meet at MouseFest 2004.

My favorite meet ever was the Holiday Gift Game. It was the most fun I've ever had at a meet.

I'm still smiling, thinking about Carl and his tiara.

I've only experienced a few meets, but a meal get together sounds like fun - might be able to get know one another a bit more? WISHES meet was great, but very crowded. Holiday gift meet was terrific too!

Gee, I think I like them all! :joyDance:

I can't decide - I like them all :) I loved the WL meet for a nice cozy end to the day. I loved the Brunch at the Ball with everyone running around hugging, taking pictures, scarfing down some food in between  I had a blast with the Bad Kidz cruisin' though the parks  It's just the whole being together and having fun that I enjoy :circle:

LOVE any meet where I get to spend time with Taginators!!!!
LOVED the Gift Game meet - lots of fun and I too couldn't stop laughing at the sight of Carl wearing his tiara (before it was stolen away).
LOVED the Epcot brunch meet as there was room to run and grab other Taginators (especially the ones who tried to run away from me!!) Wish it had been longer.
Dole Whip Meet is always easy as it doesn't cost a thing unless you want to buy a Dole Whip. Not enough places to sit and talk longer though.
Boatwrights breakfast was good also but I couldn't talk to the people at the other end of the table.

Anywhere is good - it all depends on the people. And, we had great people/friends/Taginators to see so I loved all the meets.

I really can't pick one over the other. I went to a couple of ride meets, the gift exchange, brunch at the ball and the dole whip meet. Each one was special in it own way, mainly because of the people that were there. :dance3:

I think the 'best' are those where folks really get a chance to talk. Doesn't matter if it's waiting in a queue or around a dinner table.

The only downside with dinner, is if it's a large group, as Claire mentioned, you don't really get time to chat with folks not sitting close to you.

So my answer...mix 'em up!

I think I like dining meets with either a small group at a round table :) or an on your feet mingling, grazing deal. And if I actually get to be there on the marathon weekend, I'll be begging for a drop and roll meet. I want to be in that picture!!!

I'm open to anything!!

My favorite kind of meets are....after noon! :D

Love that fast and frenetic pace of getting to meet loads of people at once, like the fireworks meet and the brunch meet. Meals are perfect for a smaller group, ditto with a ride meet.

So I guess for a large gathering, having many different choices is still the best way to go.

Don't worry, Collette. Drop and Roll is on the "must do" list for marathon weekend.

Meets... I love 'em all! I do agree that it's nice if you can mix and mingle so you can see everyone. I love to have sitdown meals with small groups, but if there are lots there, I feel like I miss getting to talk to some folks.

I'm sorta hoping with the number of Taginators at the Marathon this year we can find a "private" room/area to meet and spend sometime. This years marathon group was so much fun to spend time with...it didn't matter to me what we did as long as we did it together!

Fun question, Moley!

I loved the Illuminations cruise this year because I got to spend quality time with my favorite sister and new friends. On the downside, I hardly saw the folks at the other end of the boat!

Big meets overwhelm me, even if I hide behind the camera, I soon get the urge to FLEE! I don't remember meeting anyone or seeing anyone until I look at the pictures later.

I guess I'm with Collette - a small group at a round table where one can really chat would be my favorite.

I think the kind of meet depends on the group. I agree, A sit down would be best if it's a small group where everyone would sit at a round table. Having said that, we had a great time at Chef Mickeys...however we were seated at the back in our own llittle area so we could mingle.Plus we had many other opportunities to get together. But in general for a large group like that and if it's a one time thing, i think something like the brunch at the ball meet was great. We all could grab a cheap bite to eat and mingle. also my very first meet was in tomorrowland for the fireworks...prewishes tho so it was a great view. Everyone got their food and ate at their leisure and we could easitly mingle. This was outside of the restaurant that's now closed. I think if it's a one time meeting , something to do is great and an area in which to mingle is good.

Oh the WL meet was wonderful too... end of the day..no one had an agenda etc to rush on. And we could grab a drink and mingle to our hearts content. it was great.

I liked the WL meet, however, if there should be a next time, make it earlier. After a day's worth of touring, it's-- early to bed and early to rise so, Figgy doesn't run out of breath and meet my demise!! (hard to do in a wheel chair--but I needed a rhyming word  .
My favorite meet was MVMCP. It was beyond Magical. as just before "Dreams," I was surprised by Cruey whom I have known for years. A few years ago, I found out we used to be in the same musical group, "Up With People," that I was in, although her cast was in Canada. This was many years later than when I was in it. It wasn't until I heard her sing our old theme song in my ear, that I figured out who she was. I screamed and cried at the same time. It was a real Kodak Moment!!
So, I vote for more MVMCP times. You'll never know what can happen.

I've never been to any meets (yet) but I think I prefer the riding kind with one or two ppl or families.

I love to chat and talk, but DD can't eat, so she gets bored in restaurants and we usually bring food to the park to aviod her getting restless and we just eat on the go (It also saves $$).

That being said however, I really, really want to meet other Disney fans, so I will try to be at any and all meets within my power!
