This morning we all sleep in till 10 am, and I can already tell it is not going to be a very productive day for us. We are slow to get ready and catch a bus to Epcot. Our plans are to head over to World Showcase to eat at the San Angel Inn, but when we get there we don't find much that Terry and Nicholas are interested in eating. So we make other plans. Nachos are ordered from the Cantina de San Angel and are taken down to Lotus Blossom. Here we order a Sweet and Sour Chicken meal with rice and egg roll, and a Shanghi (BBQ) Chicken meal again with rice and egg roll, as well as drinks. We split it all up and everything is happpy and full.

After catching the movie at China, we do some damage shopping and head over to Norway. We ride the Maelstrom, then head over to Mexico to do that ride 3 times. Our next plans are to go to Test Track.

Terry brings his GM ID and we ask the Cm were to go. He guides us to the side door, we go in and walk to the elevator. Here Terry has to show his ID to a screen and they let us in the elevator to go upstairs. Cool note here, the floors in the elevator are G M C. Once upstairs we have to sign in and show ID again. IT is very neat up here, and they offer us drinks. There is a soda machine and seats to relax in. We enjoy watching the ride from up above and take our time looking around. When we are ready, they take us downstairs and to the front of the line. This is very cool, but makes me feel bad as others are waiting over 60 minutes to ride. After we look at the new vehicles, we request info on the Tahoe and H2 as we will be needing a new truck next spring.

While we were up at the GM lounge, we notice Mission Space was open, so we head over there. There is a 45 minute wait so we get in line. They tell me I cannot take my large shopping bags on the ride and we will have to do the bag swap. So Terry and the boys stay in line and I go to were the ride ends. It is so neat in here. They have interactive games to play, a postcard section, and an incredible play area for small kids. While I wait for Terry and the boys, the Cm working there tells me they will have a lounge for HP employees like Test Track does for Gm. About 30 minutes later, my guys all return and the boys ask to go again with me. The CM takes us to the front of the line and we are next on. There is a little show(presentations) where they tell you what to expect. Once inside the thin capsule, the screen closes in on you. I swear it felt like I was in an actual take off. Its kind of hard for me to explain this ride but it was fun. I was not sure whether I wanted to laugh or cry. After the ride, we did some more shopping in the Mission Space store.

We still have to do more of World Showcase, so we take a boat to Germany. As we shop, we snack on Fried dough from America, and Chocolate Moouse and Eclaire from France. Everything is very good, but the crowds are starting to come in for Illuminations, so we head out as the boys want to go swimming.

We choose to take the monorail to the TTC, then switch monorails to Magic Kingdom and tehn the boat to the resort. By the time we do all this everyone is to tiredto go swimming, so we get some snacks at Roaring Forks and head up to watch the fireworks. Terry and I really enjoy sitting on the balcony with the peacefulness and watch the fireworks. A little TV and we are all out cold.

Coming Tomorrow....Animal Kingdom and Ohana's

Sheryl I am really enjoying your Trip Reports. Great first job! You may have already thought of this but about 4 years ago I started printing my Trip Reports out & keep them in folders. I wish I had done this with all of mine but it really is nice to read a report you wrote years ago to bring back the memories.

The GMC lounge sounds great. Don't feel bad for the people in line, it's a perk Terry has earned.

Can you say why you didn't know whether to laugh or cry on Mission Space. Were you scared? Did you enjoy the ride?

We love the Lotus Blossom for sweet and sour chicken. One serving is plenty for two people.

Thank you Margaret for your kind words. I have been printing my reports to keep with the trip scrapbook like you suggest. This way we will never forget anything from our trip.

Pixie, I was not scared on Mission Space, it was just a wierd feeling. I thought it was a cool ride, but it was a little intense. If this makes any difference, the ride seems very fast. At one point I had to close my eyes, but from what I understand they are still trying to tweek this ride before it opens.

Sheryl, What a fun read! I'm sooo curious as to how much extra luggage you took or is everything getting shipped home? I guess i'll find out as i read on. So funny too, when you were talking about all the shopping and i was thinking oh, you should get with linda c! LOL.. and then I read on about two guys being good friends. Isn't that just wonderful to meet such good friends right here on a disney site! And yes, I agree, her kids are wonderful! Sharon
