We have plans for an early start, however that snooze button gets hit a few times and it ends up being a very slow start. Today we have a 12 noon ps for Teppanyaki, which is Zachary's favorite restaurant. Its already extremely HOT today so we take the boat over to Germany. Aww nice and relaxing! 8) We're a little early, so I take advantage of this by doing what? SHOPPING! Anywhere, anytime, anyhow, I will shop.
Today our chef is a lady and her name is Rise. Terry orders the Tenderloin, Zach orders the shrimp, I order the shrimp and scallops, and Nick orders the chicken. Now Nick does not care much for food here, but agrees to eat. He is a good boy who likes to please Mom. Our lunch is excellent as well as the show. Zach is thrilled to have eaten at his favorite place, and all is good in the world for my crew.
After lunch, we head over to see The American Adventure, and it begins to pour. When the movie is done it is still raining, so we get out our umbrellas and make our way out of the park. We catch a bus to meet up with Linda C(snickerdoodlesmommy) and her wonderful family. We are to meet them at their cabin at Fort Wilderness around 4 pm.
****A little side note here. I met Linda online in a chat over a year ago. In chatting we realized I live less than 5 minutes from her Dad. So having that Buffalo connection, we've become quick friends. We met Linda and her family last year a few times and had the best time. Its like we've known them all of our lives. During the past year, Linda's Dh has taken a new job that brings her back to Buffalo which thrills me, but it takes her away from her dream home so close to disney. In a few short weeks, she will be living within walking distance of me, and I cannot wait. Not only have Linda and I become great friends, but our families as well.
Linda and I made plans to get together last week while we were out to lunch, so my kids have been waiting to get together. When we arrive at the cabin Linda's kids let us in and inform us Linda and Bill are on their way. Their Expedition was in for warranty work and they went to pick it up. We have a very enjoyable conversation with the kids as they are some of the friendliest kids I have ever met. Soon Linda and Bill are back and we decide it's time to go out to dinner. All 11 of us climb into her truck, and we head to the Golden Coral for dinner. I can tell my Zachary has a little crush on Linda's dd Ashley. He has excellent taste as she is a beautiful young lady and very charming. Dinner is great, the kids go to the game room and it gives us adults a chance to talk.
Time to climb back into the truck and head over to the Magic Kingdom. Truck is parked, tram ride to gate, and Monorail over to the Park. Our car is filled with fun and laughter. Once insdie the park, we get on the Train and some of our kids are asked to be conductors. This is a first for my boys, but you can tell Linda kids are real pros at it. The ride over to Tomorrowland is quick and now is decision time. Some of us head to Buzz and a few of the kids head over to Space Mountain. Terry gets the high score on Buzz of 540,000, so he is feeling pretty special.
Linda, I and some of the kids go on the Transit Authority, while Terry and Bill wait for the rest of the kids. Once all together we all ride Transit Authority a few times. Next is the teacups and now we're on our way to Splash Mountain. My family has never done Splash, so the boys are a little nervous. Zachary needs to use a restroom, so Linda takes my Zach and her Nicholas and says she will meet up with us. But for the rest of us to go ahead. By this time at night there is NO wait, and we walk right onto Splash. Our group is split up and we are on two boats. Nick and I are in the back seat and we get soaked. When our boat pulls around they tell us if we want to go again, just stay on the boat, so we do. Now we've lost the rest of the group and it takes us a few minutes to find everyone. The Park is closing, and we make our way out through the crowd.
The Monorail is packed so we take the Ferry Boat back and then the Tram to the truck. Now the thrill ride begins! Bill and Terry are sitting comfortably in the front while the rest of us are crammed in the back. I guess they are busy talking and we end up going the wrong way so we have traffic coming straight at us. Bill using his driving skills, saves us, and the truck is full of laughter. Opps, another wrong turn, and some more of Bills excellent driving skills! We do make it back safely to the Wilderness Lodge and Linda and I have major shopping plans for tomorrow morning. I'm so excited I don't know if I'll be able to sleep!
Coming tomorrow....outlet shopping, sunburns, gourmet dinner and fireworks!
